who knows you

i couldn't help LAFIN out too loud this afternoon...

a friend is seeking appointment...just done (almost) with his national service and is going job-hunting...

today he came back from an interview and says it wasn't easy...as usual...

but what freaked me out was the acknowledgment of the new trend in the scheme of things...

who knows you?
so now it's not just about 'whom you know' as is the acceptable unwritten code but the now and holy 'who knows you?'

the point is you may know someone but does the person you know in an establishment who can pull one or two strings in whatever direction know you too (and the word 'enough' is an added advantage) to pull those strings in your favour?

Pal, it's all a matter of bread and butter!

i'm still laughing...

peace!

few moments of pride

Pal,
i've lately been reading more blogs: Kwansema, Kajsa Hallberg Adu and Que? , deep and lovely reads. and yeah, th3s3 bunch are just lovely specials- u got to read them some!

Citizen of the world:
that's what this man is. and a true one for that matter [though i don't see why Iran must not make it's weapons if America has one- (though i stand for a free world devoid of Nuclear weapons)]--> America dare not fail the world...VOTE FOR HIM and let's cultivate others like hime and more than him!

Ivory Coast humbles
they take steps however meager me think to show concern...and it did not come easy though cos the people fought for it with more threats of demonstration...the hard way sadly...

but pal, these are the kind of examples that our African leaders need to be setting. and i dare say the leaders of Ivory Coast dare not ask for applause for these actions of theirs let alone some form of awards for doing what they ought to do!

Africans (i'm an african-tagged citizen of the world) are just tired from non-thinking non-sensitive leaders who don't want to accept that care in the use of public funds is part of their RESPONSIBILITY and makes me see that this response (link) is foolish! point is who told this man that we are asking for 'cut and paste'. For Christ's sake (i'm no religious fanatic!) that is where one realizes that intelligence counts-> not necessarily 'cut and paste'

Renewable Energy:
It is the way forward...me continue to wonder with all the fight over oil, where will the world end up since fossil fuels are bound to finish like phisssss! so Dr. Joseph Adelegan and Chewang Norphel give me more pride and hope into the future as one of the citizens of the world.

Quest for Excellence

Kwesi Amoak certainly makes one proud too. I was there at the launch and sure we have to share in his achievement.

Religious meat:
oh this thing... i wonder what next will come to man to eat! without an apology to no man like me, i'm just a far cry from any religion... and...and...and, i'm neither one who does not believe in a super super super power! there surely must be one...according to me...without apologies still...and more ellipses too...

what else to say? hey.... i missed the first meet up of bloggers in Ghana for sure...really cute looking folks...too bad... but i pray to make it to the next meet (not meat).

Th3 Lett3r A:
meanwhile pal, I'm loving this guy called Asafa. and i'm praying the olympics' spirits deal him well...he deserves a crowning...no doping man! else i will withdraw my support! for now go all the way man...keep going!

The letter Z:
Pal let me end by wishing my folks in Zimbabwe the very best as they seem to be making some way towards unity for progress!

Peace!

gimmie my sovereignty!

Look me Look you!
See me See you?

(it's a two line poem which i hope to put in versions of different shades!)

the above photos display two states of the same thing called idiocy...or do you see a difference? on the left is the OneTime self-entitled Emperor Bokassa of Central African Republic and on the right is the NowTime self-entitled Kuffour of Ghana, the all too good beyond excellence and beyond still...
_________________________________________

meanwhile, me need some sanity around me balls pal...!...me do!

INDIVIDUAL SOVEREIGNTY (Kofi Anan talked about it before):
i've been off the blogaworld for a dazing short while; during which time i've forced-found space to do a self inquisition...looking 'down' into myself and questioning myself...can i give me a PERSONAL SOVEREIGNTY?

I have become appalled for some time now by actions and inactions of leadership in my country of origin Ghana! and by those of other countries both far and near enough to cause me headache... I've been wondering... what's there to gain from a collective political structure that time and time again only ends up bestowing on an innocent fool like me even grander fools of orders of higher magnitudes who do not only fail on delivering on promises but spit on you and top it up with insults to your raw intelligence!

Now, i've been nurturing the idea...turning it in multitudes of permutations and combinations, over and over, round and round, side-ways, to and fro... all in flips of different sizes of pages of different collours and textures! how many different re-arrangement could one achieve in all a life-time really? but pal, me need a personal sovereignty. I mean i wish i could achieve a state of my person where i don't have to associate by birth or death of me with any so called country! AND YOU DARE PREACH ME PATRIOTISM!!! no don't... i know all about it...it means you must wear it -LIKE a national flag-lapel tagged to your clothed chest! what's to derive from such by merely displaying it in all fun-fair without upholding a true spirit of HUMANITY!

as a matter of fact, i find this whole concepts of nations, states, empires, republics, kingdoms (and try to call it monkey or chimp and the name changes nothing) very inconsistent with the human spirit! sorry pal, i really wanted to say i find it very stupid...and i just wish i wasn't a part of it all.

but i'm still reaching deep into my spirit to find out how to free my spirit...i believe i deserve better...don't you and me think NOT the same! differences make it all beautiful...

BLING-BLING!! - 50 CENT comes to town:
i already did my blog justice by hurling it (yes it) out @ (no email address here) my president (i've hardly given him that recognition, i don't lie...) much to my own unsatisfied-insatiable-satisfaction in my 'concerty party' post.

but the matter won't just go away! the man actually goes ahead to award himself in the style of the Bokassas, Idi Amins and the Mobuto Sese Sekos... now we learn what it has cost us!

Ghana spends $1.4m on gold medals

and i just can't imagine how many kids have died out of malaria which situation could have been helped if not for such ARROGANT DISPLAY OF IDIOCY! LINK

{Kuffour in his full blings...and with him are Akuffo Addo, his party's presidential candidate also fully attired in his 'by-heart-given' award, along with heads of the security services and their awards. The one whose face is covered by Akuffo Addo is obviously (by the head DESIGN) the Chief of Staff; his award can be seen around his neck.}

But BBC's Will Ross thinks 50 Cent just landed in Ghana? -that we compare our Kuffour (whom i affectionately call the Kuffused with abundant love ever since i realized his head was full of confusion) to 50 Cent? or he want's me to think he coined it himself? fact is, we (i frankly don't know how many of the 'we' though) compare him Bokassa of stupid memory!

but Will Ross did not do much justice by not showing picture of the Kuffused one with his gold medal envisioned, initiated and created by him, earned by him and only him and given to his person by his same person with another award winner Chief Justice (who also go awarded right after being appointed by same kuffused even before she took her oath of office) who only did the SYMBOL-THING (mind, not symbolic-there must be a difference!) of hanging it around his neck. two shameless ones flock together i guess! else if i were her i would have resigned my position to save hard earned integrity! do they have any sense of sensitivity at all, these shameless ones, do they? take a fabulous look at the two below? tell me what you see pal...!

looks like the man Kuffused cherishes his gold medal more than the will of the people to have him as president by whatever, me think, design of unfortunate fate...me think!

Pal, in sum, i refuse to be associated with such buffoonery! So gimmie my soveriegnty...while i continue to think through how to maze my spirit through all the haze imposed on man by man! gimmie my sovereignty!

The Audacity of no GUN-SHOT

pal mine,

we must celebrate humanity through this achievement! LINK.

Obama spells out the kind of underlining principle for me as brightly on our horizon with the coming of the dawn as the path to chart for a renewed and re-energizing of the human spirit with new visions!

I find that it's about time we stopped the antagonistic characterisations and look to build bridges. I share in the struggles of rebels around the world. for example why should people in the Niger Delta in Nigeria be so deprived of their own resources only to be forced to pick up guns and bombs...i share in the spirit of the human to the core!

so for me where you stand should only be a different if not unique collour...it must not be seen as a bad collour...and i don't know if i make sense...but this achievement for me is beautiful for the fact that lives were preserved! not a single shot from no blood-happy blazing gun!

I'm humbled by this daring achievement by my fellow human beings. For me it tells that nothing is impossible. There surely are better ways of handling whatever human situation and we must use our heads.

I think the world has been deprived of logical and reasoning leadership with the coming of the likes of bush in America, Kuffour in Ghana, Blair in UK and all the other wastes! so let the world have a massive change!

and so is hollywood coming out with the re-enactment soon. Pal, i can't wait for that premier!

Yes we can! (to borrow from the obama campaign)
