Suddenly
night falls
darkness engulfs
the wind roars...blows...
the sky clouds out the stars
moonless
rain falls
pours!
lightning strikes
thunder blasts
and i know
the gods must be in control

written some time back; not long after i realised i had love for the 'art of words' (and that's what i now call what's called poetry).

and poetry it is! love the unloaded lines. i think it is better to load lines in poetry with meaning and not with words. great 'run-off' lines too.
