Pal,
I like Azonto dance. I like it especially when I see the women do it. There's always something about women doing what men do! oh yes! there's something about the way women dance!

Meanwhile, I'm trying to get my joints and muscles around the azonto rhythm. Indeed, the so called pastors who are calling it devilish can go and have a chat with the devil for all I care! same way kpalongo was said to be fetish and perverse!

...but this woyome dance...

Well, once upon OurTime, it has happened that one Ghanaian alone out of the about 20m Ghanaians has been given a whooping sum of money. This arose out of a court order to settle debt owed him by the state. So the court rules however so. The story is so winding pal; I'd rather not try telling it but go on straight to my opinions. Indeed, it must turn out that the crooked nature of the story as told so far reflects in the form in which I share my opinions. Just like the way the chicken feeds, very random, yet the aim of filling the stomach is kept intact.

The president has asked the state's anti-fraud agency EOCO to investigate the matter and all related judgement debts paid and some have questioned this move. The minority in parliament led by their leader for example has put fourth a theory hence, that a subordinate cannot investigate the boss. Such a stupid theory to say the least. This theory simply means that even though the constitution grants powers for the impeachment of the president, the boss of all bosses in the country, nobody can investigate him and hence that provision in the constitution must not exist. What a foolish theory again!

Again the opposition NPP has asked all members who were former appointees in the previous govt administration to whom the origin of this woyome dance could be traced not to cooperate with the EOCO! A very interesting stand to take pal. I hope there's enough legal basis to round the recalcitrants up and put them to questioning quickly. We must get to the bottom of this matter and no one must be above the law!

The NPP have obviously decided to make a hefty meal out of this woyome dance and some of the people leading the charge really make me feel like vomiting but for the fact that I cherish the food I eat than their appalling records 'in govt'. They want us to take it that their members or their 'govt' which was led my dearest Kufused (Kufour the confused) have no questions to answer and that all blame must be given to the Mills led govt. Well, pal, I hate it when people can't look me in the face and call me a fool but rather employ funny means to achieve same. If you have no question to answer why not just go to the mandated body investigating the matter and prove your case?

One very key feature in this saga is the question as to whether or not Mr. Woyome had a contract with govt under Kufour. Mr Woyome himself says that indeed, he did not have a contract with govt directly but did some job for govt. The NPP and some of their friends in the media claim Mr. Woyome did not have a contract with govt and that proves he does not deserve any money back and so "end of matter". And they continue to challenge Mr. Woyome to provide evidence of any contract with govt as if they are so deaf they never heard the man confess that he had no contract with govt and did not go to court on that basis. my question to all is: DOES ONE NEED A DOCUMENT WITH THE TITLE 'CONTRACT' WITH SOME TERMS SPELT OUT BEFORE S/HE CAN BE SAID TO HAVE A BUSINESS DEAL WITH GOVT FOR WHICH PAYMENT MUST BE MADE?
If yes then the NPP and their media parrots are right and hence Woyome is wrong and must be made to refund the people's money. And whichever govt official failed to nail this down must be called to answer. Otherwise, as if I need to say it, the NPP and their parrots are just wrong!

Now, within the ruling NDC are some very confused people too! an obvious human nature which makes me wonder why some people think there can be something like 'party unity', something which is in the least a mirage! I'd not be a fool to vote for any party because that party comes telling me 'they are united'. What a useless piece of stuff to yearn for let alone advertise! And I'd add it's one of the reasons I can't find myself belonging to any political party. I'm so much on the side of individual right's and responsibilities and against 'party unity' that I find it difficult to trade these for some sheepish collective zombism. Anyway, back to my point: some confused ones in the NDC think the govt must come to the defence of Woyome, by unleashing it's resources to also parrot counter claims to what the NPP and their associates say because it's their party the NDC that is 'in govt'; as if it's no more taught in schools that govt involves everybody! Let me just say these NDC blockheads are acting stupid. how can this be when the issue is not clear and the president has asked for investigations?

Meanwhile, the Atourney General and Minister of Justice has come under all forms of attack since this issue came out and he has been compelled by some forces to issue a very self-indicting letter. I say to the govt: Arrest the AG and put him to questioning for confessing to sitting on fraud information. He must be made to tell us which minister he knows, as he claims, to be behind committing fraud against Ghana and Ghanaians. simple as that.

Nana Akuffo Addo is not correct

of course when one is not correct then he is certainly wrong!

But in Ghana when you are told 'you are not correct' it could as well be the Ghanaian slang that means you have gone round the bend. Lunacy then is your lot! So beware and don't take the Ghanaian's way of using English words for granted. If you are not sure ask and ask again!

So what's up? it's xmas! yeah right!

It was in the news last Friday that the man Akuffo Addo who's around wanting to be president 'at all cost' with the battle cry 'all die be die' says he was provoked to make that round-the-bend swearing because 'he's not sure' he ever heard the president apologized for the occurrence of violence at certain places: Agbogloshie, Chereponi, Atiwa; and before he said this Akuffo Addo cautioned that he could be wrong! So I say Akuffo Addo is not correct! he's certainly wrong! and needs to be told so in plain language.

The preposterous nature of his excuse cannot be overemphasized. Must the president single out these places by name before this man would tune his ears to hear? Was it not this same president who delegated members of his govt to help quell the violence at Agbogloshie? Was it not this same man Akufo Addo who was hailing the violence his people demonstrated at that same Atiwa as a show of courage which he says his forefathers had and that that is the way to go? He now wants the president to apologize for the violent occurrence that he Akuffo Addo praises? If this is not lunacy then what is it?

Pal, look here and look well, I have come to the position where I think instead of praying for peace, Ghanaians should have a referendum to decide whether to have peace or war come the 2012 elections. That should settle it for all the war mongers. You this man was caught urging your supporters in a secret meeting to be ready to engage in violence during the next elections because for you 'all die be die' and instead of moving away from such talk you rather decided to damn everyone and chose to repeat it at various places and you have printed t-shirts, leaflets, etc proclaiming 'all die be die' and now you say you were provoked to do these things because 'you are not sure' the president did apologize for violence you take credit for?

My penis! If I can say my foot why can't I say my penis? This man Akuffo Addo has proven enough that he has gone round the bend and for me that should make Ghanaians reject him for president. He keeps saying some of the most irrational things that even Bush the bush would not say. I voted in 2008 because I don't want to have this man as president and I'd vote again in the next elections, come Odumakuma, to make sure I act against such lunacy for leadership.

and pal, let me underscore my position again, I do not oppose all war but I prefer peace. If war must come it must be a sensible war! It should not be an 'all die be die war'. Such a war can only be a stupid war where actors do not care how they die. If you think you don't understand me then find out why there's a thing like 'war crime', that even in war, one could be charged for committing a crime!

So let's have a referendum. Then those who want peace would vote for peace and those who want war would vote for war. Then we'd have the result and move on with peace or with war!

In our last reading for the year 2011, we will feature Dr Gheysika Adombire Agambila, author of the novel, “Journey”.

Gheysika Adombire Agambila was born in Bolgatanga, and was educated in Ghana and the USA, where he had his BA from Brandeis University, an MBA from the University of Rochester, and Ph.D from New York University. Dr Agambila has worked with Ernst and Young, taught at the University of Ghana Business School, and served as a Deputy Minister of State in the Ministries of Finance and Economic Planning, Harbours and Railways, and Environment and Science.

He also has to his credit a collection of short stories for children, “Solma: Tales from from Northern Ghana”.

Dr Agambila will read from the novel, “Journey”, described by reviewer Kari Dako as “…an absorbing exploration of reality in contemporary Ghana…” and by A Denkabe as “… a fine novel, written in a sober yet often moving style, and rich in the way it reflects the Ghanaian post-colony.”

“Journey” is published by Sub-Saharan Publishers and is available in bookshops across Ghana and also online at Amazon.com

the nonsense of 'don't politicize...'

Pal,
I think when people don't have any meaningful thing to say they should not disturb our ears! else they should warn us they are in for only nonsensical talk. So we know.

Seriously, I'm sick and tired of hearing people say stuff like 'don't politicize education', 'don't politicize sports', 'don't politicize health', 'don't politicize farming', 'don't politicize chieftiancy', etc. Why? if politics is some leprosy then why don't we eradicate it from society? or cast it out like some beastly demon? why don't we ban politics and in it's place go on our knees and look up to God (no apology to the atheists) to drop manna directly into our mouths, build our schools, run our hospitals and build the bridges? What in God's name is wrong about politics?

I made the above point on that book that looks at the face online and I got interesting comments from a friend from the arena!

COMMENT 1: Albert said: "... To play politics means, a. to engage in political intrigue, take advantage of a political situation or issue, resort to partisan politics, etc.; exploit a political system or political relationships.
b.to deal with people in an opportunistic, manipulative, or devious way, as for jobadvancement."

--my response to that is: from his definitions, both a and b. It's clear politics can lead to both good or bad. Hence it's not politics that is the problem per say but the type of politics or to what end someone takes his/her political intrigue or manipulation.

--my response is simple. It's answered in my first response. But to buttress the point. It's just ABSURD to say a thing like 'don't politicize...' because it means there are some issues that should not be politicized and that can't be true. Every issue under the sun in society (and I mean, again, society) is a political issue by nature. People must explore and take advantage of situations to drive society to either good or bad. And it's up to each and everyone of us to either state or act out our agreements/disagreements as may be deemed fit or even decide to stay aloof and or just ponder.

COMMENT 3: Albert said: "U shouldn't also forget that in Ghana people like to follow 'mainstream thinking' and 'usage'. As in for example,'the effects of the menace cannot be underestimated' or 'it is rather unfortunate' and other hackneyed phrases from the media."

--my response to that is: exactly part of the point I'm making. People just follow stuff without checking properly. But it's no peculiar thing to Ghana. All over the world you hear people say meaningless things like 'don't politicize education'. And my point is that enough of these meaningless talk. People should learn to communicate properly and be exact!

I normally get the feeling (just feeling, nothing cognitive!) that when people say 'don't politicize...' they want to mean 'don't play party-politics with, say, education'. But again, therein lies another absurdity. Political parties are supposed to state their positions on issues and that cannot be bad in itself. Hence it's another nonsensical thing to say people should not play party politics with some things. It's simple, let people state their individual or party positions. If you agree with a position, then you say yes, else say no. Or if you want the parties to reach a consensus then say so. Say you think the parties can draw some points from each other and reach some consensus. Else if you don't know what to say, just keep quiet and don't waste our ears with meaningless stuff.

And the irony! You'd find that people who tell you 'don't politicize issues' would themselves me stating their views on the very issues and be 'arousing' you to accept their views which are nothing but political views too.

Pal, it's pretty simple, people cannot say one thing and mean another! That is absurd to say the least.

flip-side of an Okoro-hoax of racism

If you are 40 years and above then please seek parental guidance before reading this.

The subject of racism is age old. I don't like racism. I don't want anyone to discriminate against me on any issue based on my race. So I don't do that against anyone. I love everyone, both friends and foes alike. black, white, colourless, ...!

But me too, the same me, I would stand any day, come rain, come hurricane, and defend the right of anyone who chooses to be a racist! uhuh! I mean it.

So it happened in the land of Ghana. A lady cried loud along the coast that she was refused admission into some seafood loving/eating club based on her race! She said a man told her the club was meant for only whites. Meanwhile she was at the premises which promotes that club for the second time and had access to food just as she had the first time there without being told her skin does not qualify to eat at the restaurant! and of course; more complications to the story! but let's leave the side-tales to rest while we focus on the skin.

So this Okoro woman decided to blow horns of alarm. And many a response it was she got! Ghanaians were up in arms! how could it be that some foreigner comes onto their land to operate a racist club? on their own land! after independence? haram! musu!

But yours truly heard and my immediate response was: 'woman making noise without merit'. It reminded me of Obama's stupidity when some confused Harvard scholar Gates cried wolf that he was targeted by the police because he was black. O Yes! I looked deep down into the deep of the hole! and raised my head to look up at the horizon. I prayed the gods would let this turn into a beautiful legal battle of a true declaration of pro-racism against anti-racism for us to see which Ghanaian law could bar any group of whites or greens from deciding to associate with only their kind for some particular objective that clearly is no one's business.

I'm a man of freedom. I love freedom. but I know I can't just walk into anyone's house because I have freedom to move about. The club in question is certainly a privileged club. and there are many many clubs/associations/societies/groups/caucuses in Ghana which are nothing but privileged entities that discriminate in one way or the other! and the constitution of Ghana says no discrimination! The same constitution says 'Freedom of Association' and both provisions have caveats!

So I have looked at the constitution and I don't see any thing in there that prevents any greens from having a greens-only club like what the Okoro woman told us about. Yes the constitution says there should be no discrimination on based on race! yes! that is there. But this club must be looked at as what it is and not what it's not! and like I've stated, it's surely a privileged club formed by some individuals that can just exist in some corner without needing to serve the state any notification. It's more or less a private club. And so there can't be anything that can prevent the members from restricting it to only some race whether Ghanaians like it or not! Whether madam Okoro is a racist herself or not.

I mean, if a green man drives down the street of Accra and insists that his private car is shared with only people of his green race and so he won't allow any charcoal-blackman or nigger to sit in, nothing prevents him from insisting on that? and indeed nothing must stop him from having such a primitive mindset! Yes, he'd be on the land of Ghanaians alright but that car is his private space!

So it came as a disappointment to me when I was later to find out that the man accused of racism was said by the same Okoro woman to have apologized to her and stated that he was only joking and that he was even married to a Ghanaian. Ah damn! mE! I love drama, not anti-climax! That mischief part in me just kept wishing the man never apologized so we could see how far this case could go! but alas, the restaurant being operated at the place had no license and this hoax of racism led to their being found out! The place has been closed down by the govt forces until they seek proper legal basis for their business!

Pal, my point simply is that you may not like racism like I do not like it but it does not mean every perception of a manifestation of racism, real or hoax, must be denied or punished. you can speak against it but you must not deny the right of anyone from expressing hatred for your skin in a purely private context. Individuals must have the right to express any kind of hatred/dislike they so wish to express in their private capacities. And that includes racism.

I'm anti-racism but I'm pro-rights!

doctor panie playing the fool

Pal,
So the doctor panie fraternity in Ghana are on strike huh?

I say they are a bunch who are just playing the fool!

by the way, Daddy Lumba, who is one of my favourite Ghanaian musicians has a song entitled Dotor Panie (Doctor Injection or Doctor Syringe Needle! but a translation into English does injustice to the imagery being communicated). That song is, for me, one of his bad songs lyrically and I'd not mind telling him in the face! I like Aben Wa Ha! and I dance to Tokrom!

As a child growing up, you are told to speak the truth! yes pal! and there are all kinds of tales and proverbs to show why you should speak the truth. proverbs! O yes Ghanaians love to speak in proverbs which I consider as nothing but the lazy man's language!!! Pal, don't speak to me in proverbs unless you want us to engage on levels that don't require us to think but just cry maa maaa or laugh kwa kwa kwa!

So the Ghanaian would speak proverbs to you in support of truth but you trying telling the truth to Ghanaians and they'd jump at you! gird their loins by adjusting their belts or re-wrapping their cover cloths and face you hands-on-hips daring you for insulting them! then everything reduces to a contest of who insulted who and the essential point of logical reasoning to draw conclusions that make logical sense is thrown to the cats and dogs!!! O yes it rains cats and dogs! you'd be told so instead of simply being told it rained heavily.

As for me I don't care if anyone feels I've insulted him or her!!! you can go and burn the sea! sorry, your ego is not more important than the need to establish logical conclusions. I've also gird my loins in readiness for you! Insults are meant for those who deserve them, Blakk Rasta says so and I agree! even the Bible has a lot of insults for those who deserve them. And Ghanaians claim to be that much Bible believers in their numbers huh! Really, it's amazing how those who claim to believe in the Bible want us to believe they are opposed to insults!!! how can you believe in the Bible and not believe in insults? has 1 + 1 ceased being equal to 2?

Back to Point: We have a bunch of doctors on strike for one of the flimsiest of reasons you can find on this planet earth and so I hope I have not deviated like I like to do! And what is more? their leader claims people die everyday anyway so they can't be bothered if others die because of their strike!!! what horror of a disturbing insanity from the deep!

So do you sit and speak pointless proverbs to such persons or do you tell them straight in the face that they are playing the fool?

Pal, I love peace but I also love war! but give me sensible peace else let's have a sensible war! and that is why I said quickly in REACTION to that 'all die be die' battle cry by the Nana Akufo Addo that it's a foolish battle cry! you don't go to war with a motivation that you don't care how you die!

So someone should tell that man again that it's one thing claiming to be tough and it's another thing applying sense to acting tough! There are a lot of lunatics on our streets acting tough already anyway!

Pal I have also called Obama foolish for claiming Americans cannot be apologetic for how they live when there's so much evidence of how they gained from the atrocities they have meted out and continue to deal others which requires them to rather go on their knees and beg for forgiveness of sins! Yet Obama made that foolish statement on the very day of his inauguration in his 'inaugural speech'!

So why would a doctor open his mouth and speak such savagery? why won't a doctor care if people die as a result of his action when that same doctor swears some hippopotamus sized oath to protect human life?

EPILOGUE
(and it's epilogue for the fun of it):
Pal, the Ghanaian is largely educationally-challenged! apart from a few folktales or fairtales that many have had told them by the fireside by their grannies and wrapped in proverbs which proverbs largely confuse issues than speak wisdom, many are they who are almost stark with ignorance! Even the so called educated people know little about the functions of their own bodies and hence what their bodies need to maintain health and what otherwise kills the body! It is no joking matter!

In Ghana where common malaria remains a gigantic killer, a medical doctor is god! many have so resigned themselves to ignorance that they think you must not say anything to hurt the doctor! few are they who know that if you eat well and drink well you can't be bothered much about mosquito bites let alone go looking for mosquito nets as prescribed by WHO and by these same doctors! we should not be alive if our forefathers did not have what it takes to survive mosquito bites! we should be gone into extinction!

But many still don't get it. So even when the doctor is fooling, instead of telling him in the face to stop fooling, they'd rather speak proverbs and tell tales to cajole the doctor into having orgasm for his/her pleasure!

I would say it again, I like war but I like sensible war! same way I believe strike actions are tools for driving points! but a strike must be based on dire need like the doctors life being in danger at his workplace! Certainly the current strike action by these doctors which is based on their disagreement to reconcile positions for future pay levels that have no negative effect on their current pay for me is nothing but foolish and they must be told so without any pretense that comes with proverbs!

A Nobel peace prize for Quattara

Ah yes oh pal dearest of the dear!

simple as that: give Quattara a Nobel peace prize and let me clap for you!

one is left to wonder about the worth of recognition awards bring!!! These days it appears no single day passes without someone winning some award. The ones that intrigue me most are the various awards for so called movie stars in Ghana. what do those guys do on set to merit awards? anyway! yet there's the one for banks and some other cooperate institutions: for them it's as if they meet to decide to just share awards among themselves. almost every bank or financial institution gets a piece of 'best customer service, or best bank of the year or best venture capital or best innovation or just best-it-was-just-cooked-up-some!

So much for deviation. So Quattara is a peace loving man after all. He has called for reconciliation in Cote d'Ivoire. In fact he's setting up and peace and reconciliation commission to reconcile the people. And whilst at it he's keeping Gbagbo the former president he overthrew with the help of French fighter jets under lock and key. No freedom for him! That's not all. He says anyone who committed atrocities during the run to his overthrow of Gbagbo would be prosecuted. And he says so without acknowledging that he did any wrong himself by prosecuting a needless war as the means of resolving electoral disputes of an election that was supposed to be about democracy! oh Quattara is so peaceful his forces just imagined Ggagbo out and bingo that was it. They did not shed any innocent blood in his name.

So isn't Quattara therefore a wonderful sight to behold and hence deserving of a Nobel? I just woke up and I'm yet to brush my teeth, thus if I even would want to. I'm yet to come across a single human with white teeth as they advertise on TV. oh i hate TV!

Anyway, however, I just took the latest edition of 'focus on Africa Magazine' which I bought as far back as far last Wednesday and never read. So I decided to read and as I normally do I start from the editor's note, part of which reads: "...we log onto some African bloggers who are confronting pretty staunch taboos. Not for sensitive readers." signed: Nick Ericsson, Editor (oh by the way Joseph Warungu is gone with the wind as he came with the wind).

Ok, all that sounds like a ritual but wait, the mention of bloggers makes me search for the login page on the content page. So I found listed by page 64, the heading: SEX BLOGS under the category: Arts. So why wait any further now? I jumped, stamped, bounced and flipped with a monumental leap aimed at page 64. But my landing was rather aided by the wind and so I landed two pages from 64. Sweet landing, I tell you. Pictured seated in a colourful cane-chair with a violet smile and a greenish and lush skirt spread over crossed legs in exquisite fashion. Beautiful. So beautiful that the only text I've read on the entire page so far is the caption: "My dad has never read my blog" - Nana Darkoa.

Okay, okay, (don't I like that song by Asa? I do) let me stop here. I'm going back to read the whole report. I'd start from the very first word on page 64 and move sensually word after word.

wikileaks: the days of the revelations

Many are they who have committed all kinds of evil under the dark. I certainly prefer a man who'd coming attacking me with full and determined force in the face rather than have someone creep up my back to stab me or hack off my head! ouch! what did they do to Osama again? and what was that Osama did to them too?

Forget skyscrapers and forget the wonders of Dubai! This world is far from civilization pal, I dare say! In a world where people can hardly be frank and speak their minds to ideas, without looking over their shoulders for all sorts of shackles that come in the form of religion, age, tribe, culture (something I think has no meaning or at best confuses human beings. what is culture at all?) eye-colour, political organization, etc., you don't call that world civilized. That is an uncivilized world for civilization stems from the mind and you can't cripple that stem and claim to be civilized, to put it simply 'in a winding way'.

So it's in the spirit of such yearning for civilization that I welcome all the leaks from wikileaks with open arms, awaa waa tuu u! How so refreshing! Almost every govt is this world is embarrassed in some way by the leaks and I'm glad so. If Jesus is a saviour then so is wikileaks! Ye-su!

In Ghana where I'm supposed to be a citizen, some are eager to remain tied to their conservatism and are saying people should ignore wikileaks. How? Why? their reasons are still-birthed with confusion anyway! no sense! wikileaks is like the revelations in the Bible and gives enough food for thought. It reveals issues ranging from Agriculture to the Zealousness of people, which issues should guide men and women to build a better world instead of playing the ostrich and remaining in sh*t! (even shit one cannot say freely).

what kind of world is this? why can't someone who thinks he's white just feel free to call me Black Monkey while I also feel free to call him White-Elephant and just walk free without any beastly killings or harm? I urge black Americans to call for the free use of the n-word. NIGER! allow people to use whatever word they want. For ChriSt's sake, words don't kill. Humans do!

Anyway pal, I pray for more leaks for more revelations. The world is a better place so!

The deception called patriotism

I'm not patriotic!
This is another bogus principle that is preached: patriotism.

when we were growing up as school children we were thought to sing patriotic songs like Yen Ara Ya Sa Se Ne, etc. good songs in terms of artistry but left lots to be desired in terms of principle.

Today I look back and cringe at the idea that instead of helping to open the minds of young men and women we rather had adults who were too willing to make sure our imaginations were clipped so we did not think much beyond the artificial borders created for us by none other than Europeans ironically. So the songs said, hold on to these borders and never let go even at the peril of your life.

They said we should put our country first (not bad in an age where Obama is ready to team up with Sarkozy to destroy Libya with the excuse that Gaddafi is a tyrant). but on a serious philosophical level, why have human beings been such uncivilized for all these years that we have created borders for whatever reason, fear, greed, etc., and at which borders we meet and fight? these creations cannot be civilization. No!

True civilization is when men and women respect the existence of one another and accord one another space to probe ideas. we are not there and I wonder when we'd get there.

So, as for me, I'm not a Ghanaian. I'd never truly accept that I'm Ghanaian even though my passport says so (just so I can get by in this artificial world). indeed, I'd never accept to be a citizen of any country. I'm me and my thoughts are freely based on ideas of this world.

I'd support the Black Stars of Ghana if I want since I like good football just as I'd support the Lions of Cameron if I want. I love Eto. Again, I'd support Gaddafi against Obama when I see a calculated attempt to destroy and steal from Libya and I'd at the same time find space to condemn Gaddafi for any wrongs on his part.

That is how the human spirit is naturally: FREE!

loyalty is a bogus virtue

I want to deal with the absurdity of some of the principles we get pumped into our heads my external forces and which external forces come in the form of parents, teachers, preachers, governments etc. I'd see how far I can go.

First on the table is loyalty.
Loyalty simply says (and you can hear it speak to you right?) that you should have an unwavering faith in me if you want to be loyal to me. That means no matter what I do, be it good or bad you must take whatever I tell you and follow it.

Pal I need not tell you this principle is nothing but stupid. So my advise to you is simple. be loyal to no one. I mean If I were Abraham and God came asking me to kill my son I'd have refused because I believe in human rights. and don't tell me about God the all powerful because the same God makes us understand that we are supposed to be like him (and that's what the holy books preach right?).

So pal never be loyal to me because I won't be loyal to you.

Is our God an insulting God?

From homosexuality to insults: The media in Ghana seem to be getting everyone on a lazy-escape ride (while our problems remain) and no less a person than the president himself has gotten on board.

President Mister says 'politics of insults' must stop after a political opponent of his suggested he, together with a colleague, is gay!!! it was a mere suggestion pal. but the president took it seriously against my gay feeling and decided to call on osofos in the country to speak against insults.

So I say come and insult me pal. come, now! else, let's bid time; you'd make me president and after rain the insults on me as I sit to represent you! call me gay! call me bisexual! call me asexual. or call me handsome. anything. be it nasty or beautiful don't matter. just call me what you want and i'd not even 'put flatulence into it' (a number of Ghanaian languages have this phrase, meaning 'to mind'. I love it).

It's simple. I have my bias for unfettered 'free speech'!!! my manifesto which I presented in 2008 states so in article 11. and I don't give a damn about any opanyin (Akan) or onukpa (Ga) or ametsitsi (Ewe) or elder (English). I mean if an onukpa acts foolishly I should state so exactly.

so what is an insult? I've heard some refer to descriptions of body parts of fellow humans as insult. So if I say you have a big head (whether it's true or not) I should be said to be insulting you. Others stretch it to descriptions of material possessions by fellow humans. So if I say your car is rickety it could mean insult.

Insult really is an imprecise term in language. So when I see a chief I feel insulted. if you plant a tree in-front of my door to make my way narrow I'd feel insulted even though a tree should be a good thing. If you bring the most beautiful woman in the world to lie by me in bed without my consent I would feel insulted even though you'd think I should just 'take her' (say that in twi) as a man. and I feel insulted by my president claiming that insults should stop because I know they shouldn't.

Many blacks feel insulted when they are faced with racist chants (chants which would make me dance instead) and yet they don't expect whites to feel insulted when they refer to them with terms like vampires (who suck our resources like blood).

Obama and his Sarkozy-allies have insulted me with their operations in Libya and Ivory Coast. Bush rained some of the worst insults on me in recent history with his WMD lies. Bush meant that a person like me is a fool (he needn't say it in naked words before I know, you see?).

So if you don't need to call me a fool before I see that you are calling me a fool then how can insults ever stop? as for me I won't bother much about such a fruitless thing to say. Insult is part of communication; our language and actions and it has always been. You'd find it deeply rooted in many cultures even as 'organized insults' like the Ga 'kpa shi mo' which is about setting a day aside to insult leadership (to call them to order). There are many folk songs and tales that are nothing but insults, relating to all manner of situations in society and they are meant to be instruments of correction.

So insult is not always bad. Insults may be deserving or not deserving. and really there can be no line to draw a separation between what is insulting and what is not. There's no such line.

So pal, is our God an insulting God?

PONTIFICATION: a foolish apology to the CJ

It's with every thread of fun in me that i write you this missive. no! sorry, rather, i mean that that i'm about to pontificate to you.

some group of so called Network of Social Democrats (NESOD) have just issued a foolish apology to the Chief Justice of Ghana and she has not come out to say whether she accepts it or not. But I want to 'pontificate' to her to reject that apology pronto because it's a foolish apology.

wait! I'm not saying it's a foolish apology because I believe the Chief Justice deserves any supplication from these 'cantata network'. far from it. Rather I'd rather the NESOD' guys repeat their threat than issue that bogus apology that says they did not mean bad but are apologizing. If you did not mean bad then what are you apologizing for? you are apologizing for good?

Okay, hold it there pal. This first woman Chief Justice in the history of Ghana is one who has been another point of division between the two largest political groupings, NPP and NDC. generally, if you are against her then you are deemed to be NDC and if you are for her then you are deemed to be NPP. that is what we have now really. Ghana's politics is that childish as if America's is any better!!! forget America! It's as if you don't have human beings but cats and dogs who need my guidance!!! yes i'm the pontificator!

okay so it happened that these 'NESOD' guys called for the CJ to resign with all her will or else be 'forced through the narrow window'. Then hey-ba! matter don com! why should these guys make such a statement under the sun? Sacrilege! So the CJ herself led a charge calling on the police to deal with them because that was a threat on her life, she claimed. but Christo me! I've heard worse in this very cantata country I find myself. Anyway!

So what's new? 'force through narrow window' now means 'life is under threat'? Pal, per chance, has the English Language changed that much without my noticing? well, some have argued that the group have no locus to remove the CJ under the law. But since when did it necessarily mean when a judge says he/she would jail someone then the judge him/herself would handcuff the 'jailee' and match the 'jailee' to the jail and then lock up the 'jailee' personally? Do the citizens of Ghana not have powers entrusted into the hands of officers to execute wishes or dreams on their behalf?

Pal, I'm saying, no, i'm pontificating, that 'force through narrow window' can mean I'd shoot you down through a narrow window or that i'd take the most narrow of legitimate or legal steps to get you out of the way. So the CJ can claim to be threatened alright and run to the police like some frightened chicken but that is all she can claim. It's up to her and the police to prove that these guys actually mean evil but not paradiso!

So I just posted on a friends' blog (Homophobia:): "i'm feeling all gay and proud". Does that necessarily mean i'm saying i'm feeling all homosexual and proud? or we are too quick to let our sentiments overrun our brains?

a 'buulu-ful' of judges and magistrates!

This Ga word 'buulu' (meaning stupid) has caused me a stirring more than the subject matter to tap away at my keyboard in prose! I love Ga so much because it has a lot of bombastic words like buulu! you should have the misfortune of a well bred typical Ga woman render that word to you with the full rounded weight of her sensuality. There'd see 'pepper'!

NEWS: the association of judges and magistrates in Ghana have decided on their own to withdraw services to some four lawyers for suggesting that there's corruption in the judiciary!!! end of news! novisi, reporting for 'Buulu News Network' (BNN).

no Pal, not yet! it used to be that I called Ghana my mother-land and sang so called patriotic songs. However, i have realized the word 'patriotism' is a very bad word and so I have taken possession of my personal sovereignty (however imaginary!) and I guard it with so much jealousy that in times like this I just want to scream 'I PISS ON YOU GHANA'!!! I'm a free being!!! no nation owns me!!!

what kind of nation would have judges who are paid by the taxpayer decide on their own that they have blacklisted some particular lawyers (reason doesn't matter even) and so would not hear cases that they are in charge of? I mean this is complete 'buuluism'!!! and the reason they have given for their decision is even more scandalous!!! That the lawyers have claimed there is corruption in the judiciary without proof!!! wow! even Chief Justices, both past and present have claimed same!!! so what's new? is this not absurd 'buuluism'?

Pal, another reason why I got stirred enough to write you this love letter is becuase of how closely the Ga word 'buulu' sounds to the English word 'bully' and that fascinates me even though they have different meanings. My fascination about this sound 'proximity' is due to the fact that in another sense the decision of the association of judges and magistrates is nothing but a clear manifestation of a deep-rooted bully-mentality in the Ghanaian society! I guess many of these judges and magistrates are drunk by such bully-mentality which they might have carried into their profession from their secondary schools or homes; where many are bullied into submission.

how can people who are supposed to be guardians of the law which includes free speech decide on their own, perhaps after some pre-mature ejaculations, that such a stance is good enough? who gave judges the authority to decide who to certify as lawyers in good standing per their (judge's) association's authority which is only limited to their members? The dictates of the association of judges is not binding on non-members for Tigari's sake!!! So if I was one of these lawyers and then it happens that this very 'ban' is lifted later and I'm supposed to appear before any of these judges then how could I trust that the judge would not be bias against me after such clear display of 'buuluism' when judges are not supposed to be biased?

Indeed, I submit that this very action by the association of judges is an example of corruption!!! hence, all those judges who are abiding by this very 'ban' decision have proven to be corrupt!!!

Pal, the more I think about this buulu decision the more it's state as stupid becomes clear.

pal dear of the year 2011,
Ghana got done with it's last elections way back in December 2008 and yet a lot of the political discourse ever since would make you think the declaration of the winner of the last elections was rather a declaration for the start of full swing party political campaigns!!!

SOME BACKGROUND:
Akuffo Addo, the man who lead the then incumbent party NPP into contest and yet lost would just not allow much space for government to proceed -His democratic right! no question about that. However, initially, against his own party's constitution (which states it's the chairman of the party which is the leader when in opposition till a presidential candidate is elected), he lead out himself as the leader of the party and was making statements in that false capacity to the extent that he broke his own promise not to criticize the Mills administration till after six months in office. So he was called to order by his own party people. So then having been challenged he quickly maneuvered and got some people to back him to get elected as the presidential candidate for the 2012 elections albeit through a far more better means than the deception presented to Ghanaians in 2007 when he was not properly elected!!!

THE FASTFORWARD:
One of the first things Akuffo Addo did after being elected presidential candidate, more than than 2 years yet into the next elections, was to call the current president names: "Prof. Do Little". nice!!! Then followed the criticism of Mills as flip-flopping on the issue Cote d'Ivoire just because the president stated his personal position on the issue which contradicts the very foolish position of ECOWAS which Mills signed. Subsequent to the 'flip-flopping' tag Akuffo Addo was also tagged a war-monger for criticizing the president's call for a peaceful resolution and yet we were told no, he was not war mongering!!! the contradiction there too is large!!!

THE PRESENT:
Akuffo Addo has launched into full-fledged campaigning under the guise of helping his party organize a better parliamentary primaries compared to the admitted thuggery and violence and impositions that happened the last time!!! he says the those contributed to his lost of the presidential contest so wants to right the wrong!!! While at it, Akuffo Addo appears at Koforidua where we are told the girls are all flowery and decided to make some claims; such that the basis of which I see no head or tail. The man launches into some kind of tribal talk, i have no problem with that!!! i have my own tribe and i don't even give a flatulence!!! while on with the tribal or ethnic talk however, the man tells us that people must get ready to die for his presidential bid because 'all die be die'. by the way, the call 'all die be die' is a reckless claim by people who care less about their own or others' failings which might result in death!!! it's more like a ghetto 'talk' and simply means it does not matter how one dies!

JEHOVAH RATATA!
Yesu Cristo!!! what a foul smelling fart!!! This is so bad a talk that should come from one seeking to be president!!! my pal of 2011, i mean, if you were in charge of an army going into war, would you tell your troops that 'all die be die' so they should just get up and go? Akuffo Addo has shown that he'd be a very bad commander-in-chief if given the opportunity!!! I love war!!! there are bad people in the world and they must be checked or restricted or eliminated if need be!!! Again, there are always competing ideas and to have one's idea leading you must wage war, whether with your tongue or with your legs or with your balls or with guns and bullets!!! I love war!!! and I have my preferred choice of war type!!!

ASSUMPTION:
I'm assuming that there's nothing morally wrong to call people out to defend themselves with violence!!! and i'm assuming that it's not important to abide by calls for peaceful elections!!! So assume with me that it's all well and good that we have a full fledge slaughter house for an elections contest.

CONCLUSION:
It's all pretty simple and nice for me!!! Akuffo Addo does not mind how people die in his name!!! he does not care if you commit suicide in defense of his cause!!! President Bush is criticized worldwide to have started a needless war in Iraq but even he did not say he was there because all die be die!!! he has expressed concern for the lost of innocent lives and has demonstrated great value for the many Americans who have sacrificed their lives!!! However, Akuffo Addo on the other hand even before the first casualty is suffered declares that 'all die be die', showing reckless abandon for the value of the lives that would be lost in his defense!!! This is not a leader who would even bother to plan a good war!!! This is clearly a leader who is wagging a war with recklessness!!! i'm yet to rest my case!!!

ECOWAS THE FOOLS, GBAGBO STILL THE FOOL

sometimes i feel i should have been a stone that you can just pickup playfully with a caressing touch or angrily with a knotted brow and throw at something, anything!

I feel so sometimes (not all the time) because i think that would not make me a part of the grave foolishness that i see my fellow human beings inflict on themselves and their neighbours!!!

There is a case of disputed elections in Félix Houphouët-Boigny's 'Coast of Ivory'!!! simple and 'tie-tia' and short!!! That is the bottom line of the current stand-off between the constitutionally sworn-in president Gbagbo and the 'other-means-possible-sworn-in' president Ouattara!!!

so how to solve this one? up steps ECOWAS, posing like an overwhelmed drunkard, staggering and stuttering but still eager to prove tough albeit with a long history of an undemocratic quaffing 'hang-over' and tells us all in the face of sense that they have decided to endorse Ouattara as the president elect and so have drawn up steps to get Gbagbo to remove himself from power or else employ the use of military force as a last option!!!

This is clear foolishness my dearest pal of 2011. no sense!!!
some are even bothering whether or not ECOWAS has the capacity to pool forces to remove Gbagbo but i would not spend time on that debate. The basic fact is that Ouattara's claim of victory is no less disputable as that of Gbagbo. on the other hand, Gbagbo's claim of electoral fraud by his opponent is no more credible than that of Ouattara. So there's clear dispute!!! 'simple, tie-tia, short'. Where then lies the sense in claiming Ouattara won? let alone that you'd use military power to remove Gbagbo therefore? in any case if ECOWAS claims it believes in 'constitutional democracy' then how dare they go against the constitutionally mandated body that has declared Gbagbo the winner? and talking about the 'constitution', even that one flies in the face of free and fair elections. so where lies the sense?

Gbagbo Still the FOOL:
oh YES! he is a fool. a big fool too!!! in my last post i made that clear. I have held this view of him from the moment he claimed he was the elected president in 2000 (NOT 2010 BUT TEN YEARS AGO)!!! This is a man who became president out of circumstances that were nothing but bizzare!. his main challenger then, same Ouattara, was banned from contesting that election with some foolish excuse made into law that he was not a 'full Ivorian' (and yet he was allowed to be prime minister at some point in same country previously). so I say Gbagbo is a fool. he is a fool because if he was wise he wouldn't have claimed to have won an election in 2000 and proceeded to hang on to power for a decade. That was no credible election. not a semblance!!! indeed, if he was wise he would have quickly worked towards a re-run of the elections, by first of all, improving on the constitution to allow Gbagbo to contest (a referendum, if needed should have been employed) and establishing a more independent and single electoral system instead of the duality they have which has added to the confusion.

I would not bother to talk about Ouattara!!! i see him as one who is only playing to the gallery like Gbagbo did in 2000. he is also another fool. in my last post i encouraged the use of hard real talk. so i say Gbagbo the fool.

This man Gbagbo became president of Ivory Coast in year 2000 under one of the most bizarre and questionable circumstances under the sun!!! indeed, back in the year 2000 after Gen. Robert Gue was swept away with brooms (yes brooms!) and Gbagbo who then got to be president should have been wise to know that he partly got that position 'unfairly' because Ouattara was banned from contesting!

Indeed, Gbagbo should have been wise enough to quickly work towards a re-run of the elections and allowed Ouattara to contest him but what did we see!!! this man Gbagbo just sat there and assumed for himself so much power and engaged in all sorts of mischief to consolidate power for a whole decade! and what at all did he achieve for Ivorians in all these 10 years? what good?

now there's an opportunity to still right the wrongs and yet Gbagbo is still behaving foolish and trying to hang onto power!!!

last time before the sun went down the presidential candidate of the opposition NPP, Nana Addo described as bull-shit the allegations of drugs (cocaine, wee, etc!) against him!!! Yeah! and i thought that was good for some hard talk while i leave him to deal with the veracity of his claim. but good language pal. good!!!
Then, just yesterday, not long after the same sun came up, the vice president John Mahama who is rather popular for his 'diplomacy' which i find useless came out rather hard on the opposition to a govt proposal to make it possible to use Ghana 'oil' as collateral for developmental loans. he used the words 'baloney', 'foolish' and asked 'what the hell?'. yeah pal!!! beautiful language!!! nice! this is the kind of language we should be using and not be pretending to be nice to anyone!!!

if something is foolish we must call it foolish. if something is bull shit we must call it bull shit!!! even if we think (mere thought) that some thing is nonsense it must be said so while proving that claim to be right or otherwise conceding that you were rather foolish in making a wrong judgment should be treated as a separate dynamic!!!

i've grown up seeing all the pretense around me in the name of being nice, courteous, bla bla bla and i just feel enough is enough!!! the beauty-ful once are not yet born after all. we have so much filth around our white-washed houses!!! theres are too many pot-holes and man-holes on the roads we drive all these plush 4-wheels!!! indeed, those who claim all kinds of positions in the name of the people, every now and then go eating fat dishes and drinking volumes of wine and laugh kwa kwa kwa!!! all in the name of the people while the people themselves are left with no places to even defaecate the little waste they produce in their stomach from their stone-sweats!!!

i love Asamoah Gyan!!! I'm one of those who argued in his favour when a lot of Ghanaians spat in his face and claimed he was useless especially during the 2008 CAF tournament in Ghana when he even threatened to quit the Black Stars!

I would always defend the respectable record of Asamoah Gyan but before God and man and before God and woman, Asamoah Gyan should not claim he deserves to win of the CAF footballer of the year given the people he's competing against, chiefly among whom is the ever mighty Eto'o Fils!!! OMG! did i hear Asamoah say even though Eto'o is a legend he Gyan deserves it this time??????????????? is he serious or he just wants to be recognized for the sake of it!!!

I don't even agree with Asamoah being on the Fifa Balon d' Or shortlist. Gyan couldn't be ahead of Milito of Inter or Lucio of same Inter who all won the Champions league!!! even Eto'o of the same Inter deserves to be ahead of Gyan on that shortlist! just a cursory look at the performance of Eto' against that of Asamoah Gyan would show that Asamoah is no where near what Eto' has achieved!!!

and i'm sending a strong word of caution to CAF not to rob us of Justice again this time round as happened in 2006 when Drogba was deceitfully given the accolade in a year that he did not compare to Eto at all!!!

let me roll time back to my secondary school days. it was lights-out one night while we retired to our dormitories. Ghost...ghost...ghost!!! someone had seen a ghost in all it's scary-majesty and the developing limbs of colleagues could not carry them faster enough! the ghost was described to be in an all white apparel. the following morning whispers went round about who pulled that prank.

Then there was this special night that i'm sure none of my classmates would ever forget! Prep time! it was so quiet that a pin-drop could be heard a mile away. i don't recall exactly what i was doing but there was some movement ahead of me and before i could raise my head albeit 'involuntarily' but inquisitively to see what; almost everyone in our class started scuttling!!! and like a ripple, as if some energy was being transmitted from class to class, all the other students run out of their classrooms as if they had to make the last dash for their lives!!! and there was this particular guy who perhaps had watched too much 'captain planet' and couldn't wait for his turn to go through the door and so chose to take a dive through the window! the resultant dive that crashed the glass blades made us discover a Hero! he was the bravest of all and instantly made the headlines! It was a sudden pandemonium! and we were later to find that what had tickled us all into such scatter was a simple attempt to get rid of a fly that had entered my classmate's shirt! and he too become a hero!!!

Pal, you see, i just love hoaxes and i could tell you of more! hoaxes just excite me in a manner that i believe even God's gift of Sex cannot!!!
indeed, the recent prank of an earthquake alert on almost all Ghanaians is one i consider to be up there!!! for me that would remain one of the beautiful times in my life!!! silly??? no-Sir-Madam!!! i consider it beautiful because it serves as a warning to us all not to take life for granted and that we need to be alert in the face of the unknown! and for me few things in this world provide such a jolt of awareness!!! and so i'm against the registration of phone sim cards again and again as i protested the last time!!!

so it came to past and we have this Amina story of a 'forced orgy'!!! Pal an orgy party i guess should be a rather enthralling experience!!! but to be forced at gun point to marshal an erection under such a circumstance when blood-flow would have been certainly directed away from my 'kakai', something the adults made me fear when i was a kid with such a name is rather too far to fetch!!! i just want to tell you that i feel so 'inundated' with happiness for the Rawlingses. i just do.

the reason: bcos their house got burnt!!! yes oooooooooo!!! and dare not try to take that hapiness from me.

first that occurence presented us with one young fun-seeking guy who instead of investing his time asking questions rather chose to make a ruling as if he was God our father who at in heaven; declaring rather without proof that he knows as a matter of fact that Rawlings himself torched his house. and that was just the beginning of another dramatic chapter in all the winding stories of the Rawlingses. First i thought the guy was a fool who thinks party politicking means one should say anything at all to make himself look like the champion of his political party. but later i was happy too that it happened. i was happy bcos it became a high-profile issue that presented another test for democracy in Ghana. i believe an unexamined life is not worth living pal. get my drift?????? well the case is in court. not that i trust our courts. i don't!!! but that's another story.

but now, the new twist to this whole saga is the claim by Mrs Rawlings that they are looking for a place to rent. Thank God!!! i breathed with happiness!!! if after all these years in public office; having accumulated enough resources from the tax payer for personal gain, it would turn out that the Rawlingses have no roof to hide under as husband and wife to continue 'consummating' their marriage in the privacy of their nakedness then that is wonderful news. wonderful pal!!! that's the word: wonderful.

So govt is supposed to give them accommodation?????? hel no!!! i say hell no!!! never again!!!

but THE REASON FOR THE REASON why I'm happy for the Rawlingses is the fact that this whole drama presents Ghanaians (i don't consider myself one anymore) with the opportunity to look themselves in the mirror and spit at the images they see for allowing the establishment of ex-gratia for ex-presidents. when that is done, Ghanaians would grow wiser and resolve never to allow such animal-characteristic exploitations ever again!!!

I PROTEST

I protest!
the artificial nation Ghana which i'm 'fortuned' or 'misfortuned' to be a citizen of but from which i long ago re-claimed my personal sovereignty has decided to have registered all mobile-phone sim-cards in use and I PROTEST.

apparently some people are having wet dreams that they are bound to bust more criminals once they have people register their sims bcos criminals use mobile phones too. and i don't see the farce!!!

recently someone initiated a text message that did not allow people good sleep and rendered Ghanaians almost to a sorry-pity for fear of the occurrence of an earthquake that only proved to be a hoax. Pal, to be frank with you, i was very excited about the idea of the hoax. i actually went like "wow"! that someone came up with such an idea that would make people run out of their beds in hasty-frenzy in search of escape routes from earthquake while mobile companies who make lower returns in the night (off-peak) got a good opportunity to cash in on all the frantic calls.

later i met some people who expressed worry over the hoax that it could have lead to heart attacks or even deaths etc. Yes! it's true that people could have died bcos of a simple hoax on a whole nation but so too people die out of merry making like football victory celebrations. the victories of the black stars in SA has lead to the death of some. so should we stop playing football? indeed on the flip side such a hoax to me serves as a good alert of natural disasters whose occurrence we should be mindful of and be prepared for those inevitable situations.

but instead of people looking at the positive side of this issue which means that there's no absolute rule that it's a totally bad case, we have been told to register our sim cards so that next time the originator of such a hoax would be busted!!! for what purpose pal? i don't get it!!!

tomorrow is the deadline and i'm still wondering whether i should continue using a mobile phone at all. i just hate this whole registration of sim idea. indeed i left the MTN network bcos their customer service staff told me they could not help me get a replacement for my lost chip bcos i did not register it. I told them even if they were going to give me a fortune for that registration i would not do it and that i had done a replacement before and that they should check their database for my records but they would not yield. so i walked away to another network. this was some 5 years ago. Pal, i've really tried to capture that story in this few words. it was more dramatic that it reads here. and now this needless one!!!

really all i need my phone for is to be able to make calls that would go through and secondly remain connected till either of the conversing parties ends the call. so i don't want to register!!! i just don't want to!

there's an ongoing tussle over the state of Commonwealth Hall of the University of Ghana: to make it a Graduate mixed-gender facility or not. well, we are being told that a trade of legal techniques would crystallize the way forward. so i wait to see the outcome. i have had my own 'outcome' even before the tug-of-war began. but i'd still wait.

what for me is just annoying is the pretense of some of the old-boys of the hall who say the the current student generation are taking the tradition of VANDALISM to the extreme!!! and so the make all sorts of fallacious claims under the guise of advising to the current students to conduct themselves properly. the cheek of it pal, the cheek of it!!! these are guys who during their time in school did equal stuff or worse.

pal, i'm not against discipline. what i'm against is the penchant of some of these old boys to make false comparisons between the present and the past. Indeed, those old boys like the current vice president of the republic of Ghana who make such false comparisons would rather do themselves a lot of good if they all just face the reality that not much has changed in terms of the actions of the current students compared to those of the past.

these ferry-tales of "oh during our time bla bla bla" should come with reality checks. so please, spare me pal, spare me!!!

i've already told you i don't believe in the principle of patriotism. it's one of those things i consider as a mirage.

but that is by the way!!! i just don't want you to question me about it and that's why i remind you pal. and the n there's the case of the pride of Africa being carried by the Black Stars, and i don't even want to hear about that 'thing'. what pride???? the slums all over the place??????

seriously i want the black stars of Ghana to be beaten so they can be out of the world cup. and i want them beaten because they have overly proven to me that they are capable of winning the world cup!!! forget their loss to the Germans and forget the coach (he's just one of the many helping to deplete the resources of Africa with their huge payslips). The Black Stars have played very solid football and i just fear now that they could win the cup!!!

and i fear and so want them out bcos i happen to be a 'by-force' (by birth) citizen of this nation Ghana where any success in football makes people act like animals. forget the ordinary citizens who may go naked to my delight or the many who would engage in free-flow-boozing or free-flow sexual escapades. i don't condemn those at all. what i fear is the penchant of govt to suddenly forget all the many problems facing the nation once there's glimpse of a football success!!! they would splash huge sums of monies on our footballers as if we don't have people dying from their lack of action to prevent floods, as if Korlebu Hospital is not struggling to have a functional lift even, as if our roads are not death traps! as if school children are not forced to sit in classes under trees etc etc etc!!!

and so far the signs don't look good. already the footballers have been assured of per diem in full for the whole duration of the tournament whether they stay in SA till the final or not!!! over 2000 or so supporters have been sponsored by govt to watch the games on our behalf. then there are winning bonuses to be given and so on!!!

So i fear Pal, i really fear!
therefore i pray that the journey of the black stars in the world cup be truncated somehow till our leaders grow (yes, they are toddlers!!! so they act!!!) to see that football is a fantasy that serves not much more to the masses apart from entertainment!!!

i just feel that Spain would totally make a meal of their group members unless the proverbial 'under-achievers' tag does them a horrible 're-enactment'.

seriously, with the current form of Spain i don't see how they won't give each of Switzerland, Honduras and Chile at least 4 goals to nothing each!!!

Pal, i'm not good at the gamble game else i'd have dared you to a bet!!!

if ever there was any doubt that i was ever going to blog again then let that doubt be gone in the name of jesus!!!

there's the blow of vuvuzela down in the south and it's all about the world cup fever!

there are many reasons why i started to blog in the fist place. one major reason why i opted to blog is that fact that i have very strong views about some things and i wish to have those views documented for evidence to show when need be as i usually do engage in debates in which i need to show proofs. many issues have passed and i've failed to document my views here to my own disappointment!!!

just gone by in the football world is the historic win of the UEFA champions league by Inter wiht Jose Morinho as the 'special' coach. well it came to pass, but i had since last year supported Inter to win it. i'm a confessed follower of Mourinho. indeed i don't support teams. a whole team may just piss me off bcos of some particular incident or person. i consider football to be a game in which anything at all can happen so i don't tie myself to it like some people do. hence it's one area of life in which i feel so free to explore my desires no matter what. and for now i'm following Mourinho to Real Madrid and hopefully we'd make another his-story there and move on back to England to Manchested United to try the English game again as the story seems to be shaping out (i'm guessing!!).

ok, so back to the Sough of Africa and it's just beginning. but to be frank i don't see any big deal about this World Cup hosting that is so special. Africans want us to believe that this is something they have pulled off and so should be respected for it. well, i'm not one of those and i don't think this thing should represent any need for respect for my abilities as a human being. What is happening in South Africa has had a lot of inputs from Europe etc anyway. so where is the big deal???? so far as i'm concerned Africans should be ashamed of themselves that they have allowed themselves to be subjected to all sorts of nonsense by both their own making and by the making of others!!!

am i to imagine that the people like the current presidents of Ivory Coast, Togo, Sudan, etc would be watching these games and be proud to be associated with the event by virtue of them being Africans??????????? how horrible when these are people who have in more ways than one helped to run Africa down.

anyway, i'm supporting the following teams: Brazil, Netherlands and Spain (because they have shown enough consistency with good football play) and i'd be watching these teams: South Africa (bafana bafana), Ghana (black stars), and Argentina because i just have some interests in their performances. at the end of all it i don't care which team wins the ultimate prize. and like i keep telling people, i'm not a patriotic person. my patriotism rests with universal principles and aspirations.

i've been wondering about all these terrorism thing and and it's counter strategies as governments are readying themselves more than ever perhaps (with all the breathing down the neck from almighty America) to keep the Osama-like elements at bay at least.

so now it's become more apparent that some 'scanners' would strip me naked the next time i make the attempt to go through immigration to travel by air to some country!

so i'm wondering, how about me 'physically' stripping down to my bare 'load' as soon as i get to the desk of the security agents at the points of entry/exit? so they can make the scanners rest.

that might just help conserve energy as my approach would be more friendly to the environment! and it wouldn't take much effort! all i have to do is strip!

Dear Pal,
i checked my mail sometime today and *bingo*!

truth is, i've had this investment thing called MFUND and EPACK with the company called Databank since i was in school and i've not bothered even checking on either of them because the monies are peanuts really!

wait a minute, let me rewind to about two weeks back: out of nowhere comes an email from Databank with the time stamp Thu, Jul 16, 2009 at 3:43 PM. and the content read:

"Dear Valued Client,
Kindly find attached the end of year(2008)annual report for EPACK, MFUND & BFUND.
Kind Regards,
Client Services"

i read it and told myself okay okay okayeeeeeeeeeeee! i wasn't bothered about the import of the mail. but something *funny* caught my attention. on the "To:" (the addressees) list were a number of email addresses that clearly belonged to a bunch of individuals who work at Databank. pause! now i'm feeling all mischievous and i want to paste the whole list here for your enjoyment but not so fast, me! i have a funny feeling i've not got my back covered well enough for that kind of mischief so let's just say there was this list. clearly someone forgot to respect the "BCc:" option.

so i asked myself who the hell is doing this reckless job and hasn't the sense of care to ensure individuals privacy is protected. oh no, shame! so then i thought of emailing the company. pal, i've this disloyal erection i keep telling you about but my first reaction to issues is to think through solutions after clearly identifying a problem. so i wondered. i even have contacts there i could reach. i tossed the idea a bit here and there but i dropped it without even knowing i did till next comes a more reckless revelation.

somebody sets up an email list for Databank clients and forgets or ignores or just jumps out in a huray for a bear or a nocturnal dance without minding to put in a moderation! so all clients on the list ended up receiving a reply from one of the clients called errmmmmmmmm, let's call him Potato (there are a lot of strange names in this word and i decide on this) for safety first. That reply was intended *clearly* for the consumption of Databank but not everyone on the list. and the reply read:

"thanx"

that was all. this fellow wanted to show Databank appreciation. that's all. and i wish he had rather hit the "Reply-All" button instead of just "Reply" as he obviously did. i wish so because whoever is in charge of client services at Databank would have then seen what ignoring the BCc can cost perhaps.

but wait again. that was not all. and of course i did not expect it to be the end. i had still not emailed the company but i was no more toying with the idea like i did earlier. but that reply from Potato clearly had me smelling how a bomb the flatulence from Databank was and i couldn't help laughing out loud. i enjoyed the moment!

but i was later to feel sad with a smile on my face. and i wish i had emailed the company earlier! somebody or the company as a whole met to decide to play a fast or slow or an *ignorant* one on clients. yes pal! and back to the very beginning of this narration. fast forwarded back to today. I recieved another email from Databank in reply to Potato's email and it read (note my editing some part of it):

"Dear Valued client,
We humbly apologize for the email response from ...*Potato's email*, a client of Databank Financial services.
Going forward we entreat you to send all your enquiries to
clientservices@databankgroup and not fundclients@list.databankgroup.com.
We are available to answer your enquiries and apologize once more.
Kind Regards,
Databank Client Services"

so clearly someone or Databank as a company by some foolishly smart move wants to make Potato look like a dumb ass. Databank thinks we are all just dumbs perhaps so they can get away with playing 'foolishly' smart with us.

1. Databank sets up mailing list for clients without adequate moderation but they don't acknowledge it.

2. Someone at Databank *broadcasts* email addresses of individual staff of Databank to clients on the mailing list and that fault is not even mentioned.

3. a client who hit's the *reply* click (perhaps unknowingly) has his individual email address being broadcast to all clients on the mailing list and he is not apologized to publicly.

4. Databank apologizes "for the email response from... a client of Databank Financial services." hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm! really???? smart move? i think stupid! someone call me *stupid* Obama! (Obama said the Cambridge police's action was stupid). these Databank guys don't have the decency to take responsibility! they are blaming the poor guy i elect to call Potato. i disagree with anyone who thinks Africa's disease is blame game. of course we must blame but it must be proper blame!!!

so Databank might just get away with their deceitful apology. in fact i bet they will. but as for me i'm not bought one cent! and i wish they couldn't get away with this smelly flatulence of theirs! i really wish someone out there at least screams their name to shame them enough to an awakening. but i know my people to a good extent!

havoc cruise

we are on the havoc cruise still.

and i remember all the bullying that characterize our boarding schools. before i went to boarding school, i knew this 'thing' existed but i don't remember if i ever bothered too much about it back then but of course it all came to life once i got to the boarding house!

"hey you, come here!", such was the command and your name was useless whether known or not! once a junior, you were a non-entity! no questions. "look boy, obey before complain!". you would be barked at!

so my first day at St. Peters School was eventful! "form-one boy", "hey form-one boy"! those calls came from all directions to mark my arrival. "hey, stop there!" the weight of that command jolted me to the realization more than ever that my uncle had long left me with a goodbye!

the senior who called walked up to me looking all man, tall and muscular! i had to raise my face skywards to have a peep at his hard face! "good afternoon!" i thought the right thing to do was greet with a smile! he ignored my greeting. his face was straight. "what programme are you here to study?" "science." i answered. "small boy you want to read science heh? look up at the sky and tell me what you see". i looked up and told him i could see the sky. "is that all you can see?" this time the tone clearly sounded like gritted teeth! and i knew instantly was in for trouble! "look up again!" i did. "what do you see?" i was about bringing my head down to tell him the sun was up there too. "come on keep you head up, what do you see?" "i see the sun". if only i knew i wouldn't have said so maybe. "uhuh, good, now look at the sun and tell me what you see"!

"what?" i asked myself. of course i couldn't muster the courage to put that question to the senior. it was burning hot! and thus my experience with bullying took a different dimension in my life. others were to experience worse like being asked to fill a bucket with water using a spoon from our school pond which was about half a kilometer away from the dormitories.

Pal, these were the memories that came back to me when i heard the news about the GBC boss Mr. Ampem Darko being asked to do the absurd by parliament. and you may read for an insight for yourself here LINK.

for all the bullying me and my year mates suffered at school, it was very instructive that by our final year when we had had the opportunity to also met our our fair share of bullying to our juniors then the authorities decided to implement a number of reforms. so our wings were 'severely' clipped. but i'm sure we turned as one of the very best leaders of the school if not the best! we adopted different and more humane approaches to finding solutions to insubordination and they worked. we did not have to resort to infringing on human rights! (aside isolated cases lol).

so pal, i wonder why would our parliamentarians be more concerned about doing the absurd than passing legislation that would deal with our many societal ills. This is the 21st century and our parliamentarians are more concerned about demanding respect than working to earn respect. such things pal, make me angry!

Obama? he sure is a star! some Americans call him a rock star! whatever! he sure got the crowd following him just like Michael Jackson! what is left is for Obama to start having a skin collour change (he's almost there by nature and now's time for the artificial too!) and maybe get plastic for a nose and chin! MJ sure did have a hold on the world. POP star!! yeah!

so i have nothing special about the flimsy fantasies pal. Obama is human like me and that is fine! i remember the very day he announced his interest in the Democratic ticket and i stuck with him straight on having already warmed up to him while the background checking on his potential was ongoing! so i supported Obama against Hillary and the rest of the pack. and i remember my delight when i stayed up to the suffer of heavy-eyes in my hotel room that fateful morning in Rabat after watching and listening to Obama 'accepting' the Democratic ticket!

i'm drawn naturally to this man pal. i'm because he marks such a sharp difference from what Bush the bush gave this world. i share a lot in common in terms of thought with this man! and i respect him more because he is ready to admit that all the ideas he espouses are very much age old (check his inaugural speech). that we must not embark on 'foolish' (my word) wars like in Iraq! that the US must engage rest of the world in talks to reduce threats to life (nukes babe!). such things pal, such things make me respect this man! and he even inspired me to write FLAME!

but this same man has shit up his head. he says for example that Americans must not apologize for their way of life (check his inaugural speech still). and he reaffirms such 'block-headed' support for Israel against the Arabs which i believe is nothing but stupidity no matter how it may be a good game plan to win support from the Jews! how could Americans claim not to care a hoot about their way of life! IS THAT NOT EVEN A CONTRADICTION FOR ALL THE CHAMPIONING OF GREEN ENERGY BY OBAMA HIMSELF??? how could they when the amount of fuel they alone consume is a big telling on global warming! how about the savagery of the slave-trade of yesteryear from which they benefitted greatly. even the Whitehouse where Obama has his office was built by slaves with hard labour???

i did not surpport Obama because i believe in the Democratic Party. no pal! i did not support Obama because he's (half) black or because the wife is fully black. no pal, i'm no racist! the collour of the skin don't mean the collour of the shit! right???

surely i wonder how many people would have been so gay (ass loving really!) if Kwame Kilpatrick was the prez of US visiting Ghana instead of Obama for all his ills????? and so therein lies the hard truth and irony!!! i would have probably held up a placard to demonstrate against him. for all the foolishness of our authorities i feel sad i wasn't able to do a thing like that against Bush when he came to town! that man deserves worse than shoes! a nuke up his bottom would not even suffice!

so Obama is president of the USA now and he has come to Ghana! he's delivered his much awaited speech and what a brilliant speech for for saying the west is not to blame for Zimbabwe's woes! surely part of the blame goes there especially UK.

meanwhile, there's been a lot of nonsensical talk. fantasizing o babe! some say he should have visited Kenya first (much like Mills visited his home region to be crowned 'okunyi'). others say he should have visited Nigeria first!

and still some like Elizabeth Ohene would spew more shit by saying it is Ghana he is visiting first in Africa (does she know the map at all???) because the Egypt trip does not count; because he did not sleep over (but Clinton did not sleep in Ghana when he visited and it was a visit) and that he did not go there with his family! such shit! and such insult to the Egyptians and all who understand that Egypt must not be maligned foolishly. Egypt is a founding member of the OAU (now AU)!!! and there are moslems all over African and in Ghana too! so what's this former minister's point there??? she deserves a whip on the bare... this instant!!!

Kufuor chose to elect himself for us to elect him as president! we did not force him. so why would Kufuor be telling us about the inadequacy of the Osu Castle to house his 'multitude' of grand-children and for which reason he deemed it unfit for his housing and therefore chose to live in his own house! why didn't he leave us alone to go looking after his grand-kids instead of hanging in there wasting our time???

at what cost was it to the taxpayer??? he should do the calculation and tell us all including himself! he should tell us how much fuel he consumed by just traveling from his home to the office and back!and this man tells us that it's not in his nature to be ostentatious??? what was he doing with motorcade after leaving office??? what was he doing with presidential vehicles after leaving office???? what in God's name did he buy those gold chains he awarded himself for??? Kufour obviously, either does not know his own nature or is further Kufused or that he does not know me! which one pal?

i want Kufuor to speak more but he does not! that's ok! but he must not try to water down his failures! those were gigantic failures indeed on his part! damn! the man lost a great opportunity to raise the bar and that's what i'm talking about! so then why won't Mill's and his Mutanka be thinking they can give us a 'chichinga' Muntaka clearance and we should be ok. nonsense! Mills better buck up now and verily verily right now!

so Obama has spoken to Africa! all the call for democracy is right! but i'm not one of those who think Obama must come from America before we learn to uphold democracy! Bostwana is not doing bad. SA is not bad and so Tanzania. we just need now push the rest in same/similar direction! i believe DR. Congo admidst all the chaos have the potential to rise and so too Ivory Coast and Kenya and Zimbabwe and Nigeria for Yar Adua's enthronement and Somalia and all!!!

so Obama would continue to have the crowds following him but Africa must rise now and now or else a great thunder and lightening and earthquake and tsunami and hurricane and typhoon must all combine and descend on the land!!!

today, i pause!

i've really been enjoying the bombastic rhetoric between the US (Bush especially) and the countries like Iran! for me it all shows how stupid human beings can be! it's sickening to still be bedeviled with threats of war, removal of teeth with a pair of pliers and chopping off of heads with hack-saws! and then what?

the world has come a damn long way! from the days of BC to AD. from the days of Solomon and his countless concubines to this present day King Nswati and his annual parade of virgins! from the days when almost the whole of Europe was at war because of Religious doctrines - beliefs???? (Catholic vs Protestants) to these present day's Rwanda and Bosnia!

we are even told that we are to blame for the death of one Jesus! JeeeeeeeeeeeSUS!

and yet, we have come from civilizations which even today we hardly can fathom how developed man could be if only our energies are harnessed properly! I talk about the Pyramids of Cairo's Giza! and man is wonderful indeed!

So today i share a thought for Neda, and i share a thought for Neda not because of the post-humorous publicity she's suddenly gained but because she represents a case in history just as millions and millions of others who died for making their voices know!

and at this juncture, for a juxtapose; aah! I REMEMBER!!! i remember Galileo Galilei who could not stand his ground for the fear of his life. i don't fault him, for my grandmother used to tell me that "to listen is better than to sacrifice"! whatever that means! peace on that man too, but surely a thought for Neda!!!

so today, i had an intercourse with a chemistry lecturer! first i was with two other guys! and Chem lecturer is wondering how come the two guys are on industrial attachment from KNUST (first year)! he thinks they should have waited till 3rd year before making any such 'move'!

so i tell Chem man, "look"! (lol, well, i didn't start like that, cos i'm supposed to respect the elderly and sure the harmless word look would have been in contrast to the spirit of respect.... and how we fix ourselves pal. me i'd make my kids tell me "Look" someday soon!

but i told Chem man; that it was a good thing for these young men to start seeing some things early! Chem man says noooooooooooooo! "you see, i'm speaking as someone who has been in the teaching field for over 20yrs and i know when a student begins to grasp a subject. by the 3rd yr you could be sure that when you make them go out they won't go and blow-up a manufacturing plant"

GadDamIt...!!! i said to him, but in my head!

I said, "you see, i believe you should review your policy so that students start getting earlier exposure to industry".

"you don't understand. Chem man says. "we keep getting complains everytime even about those who complete their courses and take up employment in these companies"

and i, yours stubbonly, insists that "exactly the reason why the exposure must start early and that even if you give 20yrs some might just not come out good. but me make a point which i picked from my chaplain in secondary school: "we should not be afraid of making mistake; we learn from them".

but Chem man too is stubborn, he goes on the tell me the experience of some student in Germany! this student gets a degree in Chem but ends up in Germany without knowing how to switch on the computer! at this juncture! Chem man looks me up in the eyes almost like what pregnant women give their husbands for attention. and he was giggling and obviously expecting me to laugh out loud perhaps! then he asks through short breaths: "doesn't this surprise you?"

i would have told him like i tell everyone around me that the last time i got surprised was way back in secondary school when this unassuming junior of mine ended up being caught in armed-robbery and his name came in the newspapers! GadDamIt...!

I told Chem man: "no, i'm not surprised! and i'm not surprised because really, the computer is just a tool like the farmer would have a hoe and that the student could just learn this quickly. no big deal there!"

Chem man is more stubborn than i am maybe! he disagrees forcefully! he insists it is shameful while i was left to wonder where all the shame could be coming from! but i did not want to start chasing any shadows of shame now! so i let him continue with all those self confusing tales as i see it. it was time to live sadly!

Chem man was still talking 'round and round the about' as i made for the door. i only listened and laughed some off. and when we finally said Good bye, Chem man would just let me go like that. he tells me: "you have to change your thinking".

but pal, in all honesty, This Chem man is not the only notorious one! me too i'm notorious! so i declare i won't change my mind on this matter!

why should i when the world is moving on faster and faster! when little kids are playing with technology elsewhere and coming out with ideas that a lot of folks on this side buy and either keep in their rooms as a sign of wealth or carry around as fashion!

i can't be tied down with such dogmas about letting someone grow up before being given the opportunity to learn! learn pal. just opportunity to learn, not lead!! but following instructions and learning and 'doing' some under adequate supervision! just this! and i'm being told that one must wait for some yrs before??????????

Pal, you may choose to help build the system or just start knocking it all down, little by little!

the man Muntaka Mubarak himself has confessed in his own written response to buying pampers with our money! flying a lady secretary of the Majority leader in Parliament (he claims she's not his gal, yet he was the one who sought permission for her righ?. yeah right!) and landing with fees at our expense to have a jolly time perhaps with 'chance' condoms... orgasms on our behalf. o yeah! do it again babe! shit...!

This is Prez Mills who did not even allow Asaga for his saga to be vetted by Parliament. coitus interuptus, if you want. Thus how round the balls of the president. I'm holding them, pal!!! This is same Prez who has just 'commissioned a commission' to look into the Ghana@50 dealings that stink so bad we all know. and this is same Prez. Mills under whose watch Mpiani of Kufuor's fame is being interrogated by the BNI to cause even respectable men like Dan Botwe to dare sink low! what the heck pal.

so what the fuck (parental guidance is required!) is Mills waiting for??? what investigations would turn out that Mubarak's own admission to commissions of impropriety were a frame up and therefore absolves him from wrong! shit, pal. let Mills not waste our time.

if Mills feels up to the weight of his own balls then let him remove that Mubarak with retrospective effect. it's been long overdue pal. only a retrospective dimensional dismissal of the sports minister would be tolerated by me! i don't know about you and i don't really bother what you want cos i have Mills by the balls.

now, there is talk of a mafia group at the ministry! tell me pal, where in this world you don't have folks whose actions, either individually, or as a 'crook' group don't ring the mafia bell??? folks are too much into dreaming mysteries into daylight and nighttime robberies by leaders and it makes me wanna squeeze these rough pair that i hold some more! more...

i'm slowly picking up the rhythm of life back in my bones and muscles. 'sickness is a pain' indeed.

so what is our government up to on education? they call up a bunch of folks and say let's deliberate on whether secondary education should span 3 or 4 yrs?

meanwhile Pal, there's a joint right on the labadi beach road called jokers! i've always wondered why that name cos none of my visits to the place resulted in me witnessing any sit-down comedy! forget what they call 'stand-up' comedy! is that the same as what is called 'gye na hor gyi?'

trust me Pal, this place called Jokers is too serious a place. my last visit there was all about the enjoyment of an atmosphere of bizi looking folks. bizi about nothing amidst a flood or call gals that breeze you by with perfume that could stain your nasal passage! breathe pal!

so our government and some folks who call themselves stake holders think that the solution to the myriad of problems engulfing our educational system lies in playing out 'lottery' with the numbers 3 and or 4??? JOKERS indeed!

what breaks the bile in me is what some want us to swallow down as fallen standards of education. and they claim the old system that made you spend a whooping 7 yrs on secondary plus some 10yrs on primary education was far better than the current system. how foolish could a man or woman be in conjuring up such a mindset that is as baseless as the word!

folks have forgotten that the population of human beings have increased with time first of all. JOKERS!

i was privileged enough to sit in same class at the university with some of the products of the old system and God knows that all the many years they had to spend before undergrad did them no magic! so why all the joke???

me say pal, we should have a long term plan for secondary education and it does not matter the number of years really so far as the content could be delivered with enough comfort! so let's say let's plan for the next 50yrs!

ACTION PLAN:
1. revert current number of years to 3 'as it was in the beginning'. This is so because nothing significant has changed to take care of a 4yr programme.

2. massive infrastructural and human (teachers) advancement should be made for the next 5 years bearing in mind that we would get back to running a 4yr max programme. meanwhile the educationists should do proper review of the curricula.

3. plan for a 4yr programme that would make room for anyone who feels up to it to write the needed exams after 3yrs (even 2yrs is not bad) to jump to university! there's no need to wait if one is up to speed enough!

and we must plan for a four year programme because the system must be flexible for the masses to be able to have enough time to obtain secondary education which must sooner than later be a must in this country!

meanwhile Pal, there are a lot more jokes with the educational system. there is that shit thing called 'school feeding programme'. look let whoever get rid of that thing. the money should rather be channeled into providing science resource centers for the schools.

There's another one that is being made noise of lately again called 'Baah Wiredu's one-laptop per child' programme and i wonder when will the jokes come down to the minimum! whoever thinks it's the way to go is serioulsly joking! if they could provide one laptop per child, why not identify the tertiary institutions and help out students pursuing computer science programes??? just another joke. someone is going to end up littering this nation with junks as computers for kids. let that programme be scrapped. and if the whole idea is to push for the memory of one-time-man Baah Wiredu, then someone must think better! he himself was a part of this junk and it's time to rethink for the best!

i just rechecked the 'insignificant' physical space that i occupy compared to all the mind-blowing vastness that exists in this universe! and still there are ongoing discoveries that tell that we actually underestimate the measure of the space that we perceive! true science is the only religion! (the false type of science is the case of HIV-AIDs for example. no sense there! and WMDs too!)

so there are too many things to talk about!

Down town in man-made Ghana there's a lot of talk about SAKAWA! and i wonder what more could be irrelevant in as much as it is relevant to attract too much attention from our leaders and police who should rather be focused on tackling more practical issues such as robbery, thievery by leaders etc. Suddenly, it seems everyone has a 'sakawa' story to tell no matter how childish or 'toli' it it may sound!

and then the youth are the ones to get the focus of the triviality with all sorts of claims! folks are too easily taken in by all manner of spiritual tales to only make them look helpless! how sad! where is the 'wake-up' bell???

last time i scream YES when Obama told that story in his speech to the Notre Dame folks about the Doctor who emailed him about the 'abortion' issue during his campaign. YES, that's my kind of leadership! (not the person Obama so much, but the principle of reaching the middle ground when it matters). but of course same man Obama could not stand the pressure on his own 'case 5 balls' when pressed about the 'photos' (his explanation me believe is neither here nor there. it's not up to him to decide human feelings or reactions).

Obama again and they say he's visiting Ghana. no big deal! when i asked myself why not Kenya for a first Official visit, my 'heartless' head told me it was all about strategy! and i believe it's a plus for his 'professional' outlook like Maya responds it here! any other country in the 'black' of Africa would score him that point. so a die is cast maybe and it falls on Ghana. no big deal however a jamboree the streets of Accra would turn!

my expectation? i look forward to hearing what he would say! it better be good stuff! and i hope it would be nothing like telling us that the US citizens cannot be apologetic to anyone about the way they live like he did say in his inaugural speech! that is crap and almost Bush's 'bull' (and i'm no tax collector; therefore unlike Obama i'm 'morally' free to make a 'caricature' of him) if we consider the enormity of the troubles that America has served the world. surely there are issues like global warming and the contributions they have made! all the fuel they keep consuming!!! else why is he pushing for renewable energy anyway! i want some more sense!

but Jose Mourihno is teasing me more! i love this man. he speaks both sense and nonsense 'beautifully'! i supported Chelsea last term because of him and now i'm supporting Inter because of him. but Barca seduces me big time! Mourinho says the final would be decided on pens! he predicted rightly that his former team Porto would be knocked out by ManU but did not attempt same for his own team! now i wish Mourinho hadn't just said that because i dread pens for Barca! 'leaving-woman'

pal,

the rains came down a bit heavy for a short while and ended up in soft showers. i thought it was just ending so i dashed out to 'Western Union Money Transfer' office. i did enjoy the drops of rain on my skin as i made my way to the place. it was nice!

so i approach the office and i realised the place was rather familiarly dark (and dark places that should rather be lit have become familiar these days in Ghana like always thanks to ECG!) with all the people present on their feet. two women seemed focused on anything but their job behind the counter.

before the counter but only about 3 steps away were two others. one, a gentleman in blue jeans who leaned in one corner as if he waited for just the last drop of rain to make his way out! the other was a lady who rather wore a desperate face and i could have just taken cue from her like those unspoken notices and just make my way back. nobody talked. the body languages were very clear. but i got closer to the only computer on the counter and i did not hear it hum! enough warning now???

well, where i came from there was enough electrical power, so why not ask questions. i proceed without prompting!

looking from one face to another, i put the question to one of the ladies behind the counter. "Madam, are you closed?" and i did it with a mischievous smile because i knew it was just some minutes past 4pm! Madam is busy packing somethings into her bag so i repeat the question. "Madam, have you closed for the day???"

Now Madam looks me up in the face but turns her eyes back to her bag before answering. and as she raised her head i saw the evidence of her private and likely nocturnal encounters with a male counterpart. and the thing about the general attitude of pregnant women which i don't buy came to mind!

"There's no light." Madam said. ok i had already seen the signs alright! but that was no answer to my question. so i quickly modify (not change!) the question. "When do you close???" Madam woman looks at me again and i 'jolt' within with a feeling of a smile broadening on my face because i was glad that she was engaging with a fellow man in private. that's always a good affair.

and Madam answered: "I'm leaving, there's no light."

"oh ok!" i said. and my mischief jumps to the fore of me with my smile still widening. "so you are leaving but you have not closed, okayeeeeeee!" the eeeeeee sound makes a piecing one! and don't i just annoy now??? she's looking at me now and i'm looking back at her and i'm smiling. she didn't smile some but she didn't frown either.

Madam shoots back: "it's 4.30, i close at 4.30, i'm leaving!"

and i dared stepped on the toe of the other lady behind the counter with that uninvited statement of mine! and she would probably have given me a slap if she had the effrontery! the best way to defend is to attack they say right??? this lady might have taken this tactical saying rather extra seriously!

so she comes right at me with a fierce force spewing out words like they just did not weight just the way i love drama: "gentleman, we have closed! we don't have light so we can't work. if we don't have light we don't work. how do you expect us to work if we don't have light???"

she took my attention like i had no choice! i gave it (yes it!) to her but i did not add the smile for strategic reasons! i listened to her.

now i don't know whether she wanted me to become her interviewee??? but before i could decide whether to answer or what answer at all to give she threw more verbal rockets!

"do you understand???" she demanded!

and i looked at no one but this second lady behind the counter! and aaaaahhhh, now my time to 'talk som' (more)!

"oh, i actually asked specific questions for which i got specific answers and i'm ok with the answers. so ehmmm, thank you very much madammmmmmmmmmmm!!!"

i threw that at her with an unending mmmmmmmmm sound that i'm sure will echo and reecho in her ears for her listening pleasure!!!

now i turned my attention to my more accommodating and dear pregnant and 'leaving-woman'. i bowed my regards. she acknowledged and i left feeling all the joy in me! walking back in the rain; the showers increased and i couldn't help but just spread out my arms into wings to savour the the drenching that came as i made my way back!

pal, i just enjoy pulling out the nonsense in folks! makes the world even more beautiful!!!

someone is playing foolish and deserves strong lashes that come in rapid strokes on the bare buttocks! 'perhaps'.

we are told it's 'Christ The King' in Kumasi with an International 'stretch' that has ended up playing out a SHAM!!!

why should this happen in Kumasi which is clearly not some deep 'love-me-come' forested village where radio is perhaps the greatest technology ever to reach a people let alone mobile phone with WAP and GPRS and a fully functional 3G network! WHAT THE HECK!!!

so it happened alright! okay! and i'm not blaming the Headmaster (he just needs strong lashes to calm his own thieving nerves) one bit for any wrong doing as much as i would come down hard on the head of whoever is supposed to have done the needed checks and 'inspections' and rechecking while keeping an 'unblinking eye' to ensure that the fate of young school kids are not put in such jeopardy!

now they are being told WAEC can't help them. i say WEAC is joking 'small time' (not big time). WAEC cannot tell me in the name of 'Cristo King!' that these kids MUST only wait till next year (one whole year???) before they can make any further progress along academic pursuit. a big shame on WAEC for dipping their heads so deep inside so 'dogma' boxes and refusing to see that HUMAN BEINGS NEED BE DYNAMIC!!! what the heck again!

so i'm glad an NGO is taking GES and all to court! I EVEN BELIEVE THE GOVERNMENT AS COMPRISING EVERYONE should be sued for not being proactive enough! and let the one praying the judge for relief for the school kids include his name as one of the accused! we all just share in these things pal.

by the way, i heard someone once sued God the Almighty in Ghana sometime back. i need to see that man! he must have some insights i guess! ABODAM (madness) is not enough to describe these situations pal!

let someone think and get these kids to write the needed exams so that those who pass can progress while the ones who fail also get appropriate directions.

Obama's award.
we are told that the Arizona State University decided to honour Obama with a scholarship named after him instead of an honourary degree with the reason the full 'body' of his work is yet to come. AND I AGREE. i don't know why the world is so obsessed with awards for all kinds of funny leaders who have achieved little for mankind anyway! so let the award for Obama just wait.

the last time in down town Ghana Mills did a first inter-country trip to his Fante homeland to receive an award or title of 'Okunyi' or whatever and i just wonder what's the use of all that when there's WORK to be done! and i've not forgotten another example where Kufuor gave the current Ghana Chief Justice an award for being made CJ (and i don't care that she possesses the female genital organ) even before she assumed office as CJ after he the same Kufuor was the one who gave her the position anyway!

and i strayed! back to Obama, yes man, and the guy is relaxing sanctions on Cuba and reshaping the relationship! and i think it's just the way to go! Cuba has survived for so long with all the sanctions anyway when Ghana as free as she is is fed with medical doctors produced from sanctioned Cuba to better the health delivery situation. what irony???

and so what did America achieve with all the sanctions anyway??? it's about time the world realises that these 'stomach-directional' sanctions hardly work!!!

100days minus 2

Mills has made a fast move!

(did anyone say this man is slow???) Two clear days before the sound of the 100days bell the man Mills calls up journalists to put before them his account.

i'm one of those who believe that the Mills admin is slow! and i hold that belief so dear to my heart amidst all the claim that both the Rawlings and Kufuor first terms have been beaten to it by the Mills' 100days record-breaking speed.

I believe that Mills is slow not because he has not done some of the things he promised or not but simply because i look generally at the needs of this country amidst all the potentials available even with all the hurdles of the bogus Ghana constitution and i come to the conclusion that Mills is slow! so i would not bother like some are busy with themselves comparing Mills to Kufuor or Rawlings! i don't see the sense in that apart from forming a rank pattern maybe!

now, i don't know whoever came up with this idea of assessing a presidency term in 100days with funfair countdown??? who was that? i don't even want to know him or her anyway! i think it's full of fantasy!

EVERY PRESIDENT OR LEADER MUST BE CHECK AND AND RECHECK AND SCRUTINIZED AND EVALUATED AND ALL FROM THE VERY MINUTE HE/SHE ASSUMES OFFICE TO THE MINUTE HE/SHE LEAVES OFFICE. and in this case it's a 4yr long haul.

now, Mills scores himself high for 100 days when we are yet to reach 100days. i'm not sure i'd score him that high. in fact i won't. meanwhile i don't know who asked Mills and Co to promise us that they would clean up the city in 100days. On that score (and i include Zoomlion who also jumped at the idea), they get A BIG ZERO!

i'm no fun of promises like i keep saying but i knew this was going to fail and i just told myself: "let me wait and see" and i've seen. Mills is now saying it's an ongoing process. fair deal. who doesn't know that??? it would always be an ongoing process. or would it ever end??? sanitation is a big issue and i wonder why Mills would play promise with it. ACCRA IS SMELLING LIKE ROT and Mills scores ZERO from me on his own promise. period!

raw in the mix

I’ve not found it easy to keep my blog for a while now cos there’s so much less inspiration to make me ram-up time in all the mix out of all the squeezing I still force to see to daily asides in the life in me.

so what is the raw one doing this time that is making every one have forced ejaculations??? i can bet the last pesewa in the bottom of me that this raw one really has a mix spell cast on a lot of Ghanaians so called! some love him, some hate him, some are not sure what to do with him and still some would just not have anything to do with him.

as for me, ever since I realized why the NEED NOT to have a LOYAL erection for not even my biological parents, i just don’t work myself into any state of disillusion forced by extra power of man!

pal, to tell you that I wish every man and woman could just say what he/she wants FREELY as opinion or feeling borne out of a tickling libido would surely be the umpteenth repetition of a belief in basics! How much could man achieve without basics really??? a foundation first before the roofing right?

so man JJ Rawlings the raw one, has been out again lambasting man JEA Mills and some other folks for all that HE CARES ABOUT! that’s all. I have my own problems with man JJ Rawlings as per how some of his core revolutionary stances seem to have suffered terrible kicks in the groin in relation to his level of personal wealth (be it legitimate money or stolen money – I don’t care, a revolutionary must always be a revolutionary (i didn't say pauper!)and on that score man Rawlings has a lot of questions from me to answer! and i salute Che Guevara of revolutionary memory!).

but… but… but… he has not gone to steal anyone’s goat, neither has he even attempted to kick out man JEA Mills out of executive power bestowed on him by the people of Ghana. in other words let’s look carefully!

ok, there’s a man called Kwesi Pratt who i believe I share a lot in terms of free thinking with (he’s demonstrated to me enough). He is a confessed socialist but i’m a ‘non-labelist’ (the irony is that the ‘non-labelist’ too is a label but I go with the obvious ‘forced’ meaning of this label). Pratt does not support coup in any form but I believe that the dynamism of man makes it such that in holding true to natural justice it would be JUST to kick out with brooms or sticks or even AK47; a man like Mills should he turn out to be A MONSTER! so we have clear differences. I see myself as just a human being. unfinished!

so, man Pratt takes on man Rawlings for taking on man JEA Mills. the summary (and i think i did some summary is school-> hehe!) of man Pratt’s reaction is simply that enough is enough because man Rawlings should just learn to live like a former president! and the question from me and myself is: 'is there a sworn code of ethics for former presidents by which they must live?' and the clear answer is NO! and sure I would be one of those who would oppose any such nonsense with all my might should there come the attempt just as I’m totally against any kind of control as per what is put out in the PRIVATE MEDIA under any form of so called broadcasting law or shit! what law at all for free media that’s supposed to be free? who is afraid of what he she has done or not done???

so i disagree with any such like man Pratt that man Rawlings of raw tendencies must not be talking waa waaa waaaa! let the man talk for the sake of nothing at all. in any case is it the imagination of anyone that they should be the ones to determine who should speak and who should not speak and on what issues?

Man Pratt asks what kind of man could Rawlings be to quarrel with people even in his own party and yet it's well known that man Pratt himself quarreled with man Nduom of his CPP. so what volcano there apart from inconsistency! A political party is a public institution and must not be treated like a cult with secrete hushes if you ask me!

you may rightly (cannot be wrong as a fundamental right!) argue against or for what man Rawlings may say but why? let him speak again and again should he choose to. he may even contradict himself as per his record and so on… and I don’t agree with all the things man Rawlings is saying but surely I believe there are some things with which the Mills man is slowing too much for comfort; for example what is delaying Mills from visiting Bawku himself and Tamale to initiate with all the spirit of the leadership position he occupies to seek to bring peace to the totality of Ghana! did he not instead go to receive an award of some sort of an 'okunyi' from his own people in Fanteland at our cost???

meanwhile even the promise (and I’m no fun of promises!) to rid Accra of dirt in his 1st 100 days (and I wonder why all the cult about 100 days!) has seen little effort. Nima is still stinking bad. The road near the prime Labadi beach hotel smells foul (and in fact all along the beach stretch of Ghana stinks). and there’s just so much plastic all around us! so why not scream for a faster rate of action no matter how slow man Rawlings himself might have been during his own office terms. Rawlings talks about mediocre ministers and i agree with him no matter how many mediocre were in his own government! just basic truths!

Man Rawlings says there are characters around Mills and yes I believe there are characters around Mills for sure! Koku Anyidoho is one I believe needs some lessons in leadership before opening his mouth waa waaa waaa! so what is fundamentally an error in the non specific but obviously correct statements by man Rawlings! some like Alhaji have chosen to assign names in interpreting what Rawlings means and I think that could only amount overly worrying of themselves since the man did not mention any names! speculation can only serve as a guide, not too much more if you want to hold a man! right or wrong!

what is even fascinating (but not really) is the fact that the some opposition which not too long ago made a funfair of letting us know that their opinion of Mills’ “hit the ground running" was rather a crawl with jerked motion (which i share to some extent) are also hitting hard on Rawlings for coming out loud on Mills. they say he has coup mentality! (what is coup mentality? - seems somebody is always dreaming phrases that only lead to absurdities).

And funny still, even Ayariga (pal, there’s just little sense going on) too who speaks for Mills comes out to say that Rawlings was a trained soldier who per his training does not take his time while Mills is a trained law man who would take his time! What a FALLACY OF MONUMENTAL PROPORTIONS. what sense is there? that there’s no soldier who would perhaps even act slower than Mills or what? or there's no lawyer who would act faster or anyhow more than Rawlings or what??? what shear nonsense pal!!!

some opposition says that all the outburst of Rawlings proves them right that Mills meant Rawlings when he declared that he was the only one president. an unneeded declaration at that by Mills. the opposition’s conclusion can only amount to forcing a situation however right by ‘correct’ guess they might be (and same applies to Ayariga and Anyidoho too for all their ‘forced’ interpretations of the ‘one-president declaration by Mills that he mean Nana and the opposition). simply the president did not mention any name. the name(s) is/are well stuck in his head!!!

again, some say Rawlings is not being fair to Mills! that is fine and I can’t argue too much against that opinion. and many of those also believe Mills lied to them about fuel prices and me too think they are not being fair to man Mills (so we all have opinions!). But my take really is that so what? shouldn’t we all (including all the thieves and social misfits) have a duty to keep our leadership in check for the sake of man and woman! Isn’t that a more noble call than giving out awards with ‘okunyi’ titles to people who take up the duty to lead us??? I’m definitely NOT going to lick no one’s boots and least leadership!!! Pal, I leave you to make your choice too!

i love reading this man Abugri too and more satirical tickles here but i still disagree that dignity comes with whispers or hush-hush only!

let man Rawlings talk and let everyone else too talk. and then let Mills decide whilst there is still talk anyway! we did not make him president with the promise that we would seize talking about leadership! did we?

there are those who think Ghana's democracy is young... but i don't!

democracy is about ideas! you don't need years to grow them! ideas and principles are so old they are perhaps older than man and woman! so why all the reference to time when there's no need for that? why should one wait for 'how long' to realise that it's plain thievery to take resources that belong to all the people for oneself without the people's consent???

so i bow for PC Appiah Ofori of the NPP who says that the former Speaker of Parliament should be prosecuted for taking the peoples property! ok wait, my opinion: according to facts so far, some of the things we are told falls within his 'ex-gratia' as per legally or constitutionally! no problem however incorrect me thinks. i'm simply refering to the generator and the others that we are told he took away which clearly are signs (and is just said signs) of thievery! i could have just said it's just thievery without the signs!well...

so yes i agree, this speaker of former times must be prosecuted! and if you think i'm joking just read this! and let no one tell me Ghana's democracy is yet to grow!

yet he dares to say he would pay... ok. so what must be done? take away the items which are not due him first, second, check them and let him pay for any damages. third, prosecute him for attempting to steal and stealing! he may just be proved innocent anyway! just prosecute!

meanwhile, Bagbin of the NDC is not serious here...!

and i salute Alhaji Baturi of the NDC for telling it to Mills like it should be told him! read here...( and i'm not concerned 'too much' about their party matter with Rawlings and all that)... i only think that everyone should have the freedom to speak his/her mind no matter how foolish though!

there's a lot of tribal talk in the land territory called Ghana now!

here, here, here etc... and i mention it as if it has not been the case for all the existence of man and woman on earth! so is the story of Adam and Eve so true??? or is the Bible just sharing a "toli" (fairytale?)???

suddenly it's as if people are just rediscovering where they ever belonged in the first place! could we have chosen where to belong before birth???

i have no problem with any 'tribesman' who talks tribe! at all!!! tribes certainly are identifiable groupings that could yield development! a gun is not necessarily a bad thing see? i gun can kill a man and a gun can be used to hunt down meat or beast! see? don't we cherish our school associations? don't black men see themselves as one 'against' white men? tribes certainly would have common concerns!

I AM NO BELIEVER IN LOYALTY TO ANY FORM OF ASSOCIATION! not old school, not the pussy cat lovers association, not my tribe, not the pan-african call! i believe in personal independence more! my mum could only be my biological mum! my believes and actions must certainly be based on my person! I'M JUST SO DIS-LOYAL to a sharp ERECTION and that's just why i cannot belong to a political party!

i accept that we all come from somewhere? where i don't know really! but we sure do have our differences! and so what??? even though i have to to believe that i need not make a big deal out of my roots i would accept and respect anyone who sings about his/her heritage or tribe or father once that song does not say others are less human!!! i might even dance to the tune if it tickles me enough and i don't even need to understand! and i'm not only talking about songs literally!

i belong to a group of Ewe people called Gbi out of the many different Ewe groups like Anlo, Ve, Tongu (the north and south of which is noted for magical electoral numbers) etc... and yet you have to divide the Gbi people into two- Gbi-nyigbe (Peki area) and Gbi-dzigbe (Hohoe area) and further divide and divide and divide and.... before you could locate my biological roots with some (yes some!) precision! i can promise you it won't be an easy task if you attempt it pal!

i remember whilst i was growing up, the folks from my village held a meeting at my uncles place and were debating whether to use their welfare contributions to buy guns to defend themselves just in case a neighbouring village decided to attack them over LAND! and both villages are Gbi.

i remember having serious physical fights with my one and only blood brother (same mother, same father!) when we were kids! we stopped fighting a long time ago! i remember too that i decided not to speak with a cousin of mine and this lasted over 10 years without our parents really knowing what was happening! that was when we were still barely teens!

i remember that like the Ewe boy that i am i attended school in an Akan area and yes i did experience some discrimination by some mates of mine but even then i started realizing that it was all born out of whatever misconceptions!

i remember too that not too long ago, an uncle of mine warned my brother vehemently never to go in for an Akan woman for a wife else he would never attend his marriage engagements! how stupid i thought of him 'fondly'!

yet i have family relations who are married to Akans. and i might just land an akan babe myself! who knows and sure i would make love to her massive with all the senses within me! i'd cherish her too! i mean 'odo asem'...'odo tintan' (love web)!

so is it not POSSIBLE that the kids of Obama might just grow up to think that they have absolutely nothing in common with folks in Kenya! and so what? however sadly so me wonder!

now i've grown and i ask myself: what at all hasn't happened before on this earth??? why are people making so much capital out of where they belong or come from???

recently i heard an uncle of mine who happens to be an osofo of the rank of a Bishop in the Catholic 'of Roman' setup coming out to say that Ewes and Akans are great friends and i wondered what fantasy this man could be dreaming up??? i screamed that is not true!! unless he's seeing something in the 'osofo-realm' that obviously would escape me for all my non-religious commitments!!!

imagine pal, would you call EVEN America and Isreal GREAT friends??? they may be GREAT allies for whatever common interest but friendship that is great...??? would you say??? so what's this take on Ewes and Akans that only amounts to my osofo-uncle tickling himself and laughing with 'pastoral fantacy'???

I CANNOT and would not SAY AKANS AND EWES ARE ENEMIES BUT TO SAY THAT THEY ARE GREAT (and GREAT is really great a word) IS ONLY FAR ENOUGH FROM THE REALITY!!!

why won't people face the bare facts and just be sincere instead of trying to massage some fantacy bones (i love this word fantacy now!)!

KUFUOR'S OFFICE:
so one man at the centre of all the controversy about tribal land and all happens to be Kufuor my dear!

what should simply be a procedural matter has turned out to have set the stage for tribal punches! no big deal me think!

but what are the bare facts? Kufuor needs office and must be given office by state right? so let it be done and simple as that!

aparently Kufuor took office for himself before asking for it? that's an interesting one! some say the government should have ensured that it never came into the public domain and they claim to be expects but me i think they are jokers cos what won't come into the public domain no matter how??? even Mills Castle prayer camp comes into the public domain! Kufuor's Gizzelle Yaji came into the public domain! so what?

so there's banter between Mills' admin and opposition and one PV is supposed to tell something which is not clear enough and National Security wades in to say they are taking charge! i pause: pal, i am no fun of no power play i keep saying! the last time Kufuor's francis Poku was being 'debriefed' under-house arrest i saw foolishness! now too there appear to be foolishness on same part of so called national security! what is so special about a house in the middle of the capital to warrant National security making mountains out of it??? someone is smoking weed!!!

so some Ga youth meanwhile claim they would eject Kufuor cos they feel cheated over their own land! Ga youth like any other youth of Ghana has right to definitely speak on Ghana matters because they are Ga youth and because they are Ghana youth for that matter authomatically! BUT i pause again pal: i agree with any Ga man/woman who thinks that Ga LAND is being giving out for all sorts of things to their disadvantage! i wonder how many other places in this same country could land be treated like in Ga! i wonder if even my village would allow! but it is true that under the provisions of Ghana constitution it would be illegal for Ga youth to attempt ejecting Kufuor FORCEFULLY from the office!

meanwhile what is refreshing for me is the fact that Kufuor has a PRIVATE HOUSE on Ga land and yet Ga youth have not said they would eject him from there too! his son too bought a hotel on Ga land! so what? so i love to put this matter in real perspective! we must separate no matter how 'tribalistically' cloudy what is legal from what is not under our bogus constitution! what the Ga youth have complained about about Kufuor is the office! not his private house!

how different is the Ga youth tribal outcry from the Ashantis who are calling Kufuor to come home? Ga say go away because you don't belong with us...Ashanti say come home because you belong with us! what is the difference really??? but i've hardly heard folks call the the cry of the Ashanti group tribalistic! both cases are based on belonging pal!

i am still an Ewe and I wouldn't go calling Kufuor to vacate a government building in my hometown just because i'm an Ewe! I will do so if i feel he MUST simply because i'm a human being like him and like Osama Bin Ladin who must be treated fairly and rightly! But Ga youth chooseS to say because they are Gas and that is their right and so be it! there's nothing wrong with it no matter how IRRELEVANT I find that posturing! beyond that is the issue of legality and proper procedure and that is what we should concern ourselves with more!

so for patriots of Western region to also rise though there's nothing wrong still in representing one's tribe or region is really funny! funny because their argument is really cheap! they claim Kufuor is being 'banished' which is far from the truth! remember pal, that Ga youth have not told Kufuor not to ever step on Ga land again! they have not said so! Kufuor still lives in his house which is on Ga land! and the Werstern Region rep says “If other people think others cannot own properties on their lands because they are not indigenes,..." and that is only a stomach directional reply to Gas pal! because pal, i'm just in the process of acquiring a portion of Ga land under my name and i'm no indigene!

if Kufuor has done wrong let's all deal with him! simple as that! and if anyone chooses to play up his tribe let the rest be tolerant of it! simple! it's no big deal!

and we all know that the Ga people themselves sell their lands like there's no tomorrow! so why wont people address the core of issues instead of playing like spoilt kids!!! i wonder still!

pal, this issue has been gnawing at me for fat too long and i would fill the whole of blogger's space i guess if i continue! i've always wanted to write something about tribalism anyway and i just got the jolt and my thanks goes out to all who are making nonsense out of it for whatever interests in that regard!

i just placed my phone down after a call.

it was all sad news! i should have visited my friend last sunday especially that i've been promising him for a long time that i just would make the time come! i did not visit and i did not even call to say why i couldn't make it!

now i get a call from him and he tells me he has lost the mum! and what hits me more is the fact that it happened as a result of the 'horror' at the Winneba junction! my friends mum was burnt to death!

now, i really don't know how to take this... it just hits so hard...

i'm told that Mills bares his teeth! at who only 'super interpreters' like his own 'person-speaking' Ayariga are able to tell huh!!!

i have teeth too! yes i do!

i have been calling that Mills must start speaking for himself! so i was rather attentive to hear him speak... but about what? ...just frivolities!!!

i believe that Mills must assert himself and assert himself cleary but for Boti-water-fall's sake, what's all these posturing of POWER??? i don't get it! simply Ghanaians decided to have Mills as president and that should simply mean that he should lead us but not to boss it over anyone! not me! you can be assured that i'd LOVINGLY refuse any such attempt directed at me with all VIGOR and POMP and with my pre-molars and molars showing readiness to chew whatever i bite with my canines!!! i bare my teeth!!!

i chose by personal conviction as a human being only born through the 'enjoyment' of other human beings but sufficiently independent no matter what boundaries are defined for me (as my country for example) to discontinue regarding Kufuor as 'my president' during his second term of office! i've even moved on to the extent of demanding from everyone else in any position of authority my personal sovereignty no matter how 'stupid' it might sound! i still stand by these and by the grace of the master of all forces i shall keep these principles dear to my heart till the end of time and space!

so why? why should Mills be so bothered to decide to bother everyone else with his wanting to show that he is and shall be the one and only one PRESIDENT and none other but him and only him Mills at this time??? i'm no fun of power play man! because the power does not belong to you the one individual made whatever leader so called president- THE POWER BELONGS TO 'THE PEOPLE' INCLUDING THE THIEVES, RAPISTS, MUDERERS, VAGINAL-SEX LOVERS, LESBIANS, ANUS-SEX LOVERS, PRAYER CAMP PASTORS, FETISH SHRINE KEEPERS, MECCA SOJOURNERS and just about EVERYONE!!!

so there should be room for anybody else to call him/herself president if he/she so wishes??? it's just a title! one may even decide to be shadow president or ghost vice president and there ought be no problem at all.

the only problem that could arise is if there is a clear usurping of THE PEOPLE'S authority (and note pal that i did not say the president's authority!) by such actions as another man without our consent going to order the security services about or taking charge of our governing bank and purse!!! once there is an ok operation by all within the laws of the land then there ought be no baring of white/brown teeth at no one by no president!

so if Nana Addo decides to return home to an organised party crowd and drive in a motorcade within the law then there should be no baring of teeth by no president no matter how a private man like me would find a lot crazy about that show by Nana! i'm a private man, but Mills is the leader of Ghana so called! this kind of difference needs to be clear!

what Mills ought to be doing is seeing to it that every citizen is safe and sound, every child has good conditions to attend school, everyone gets food to eat, that our environment is kept clean, that our hospitals are well resourced but enough education goes out to prevent diseases! such are the sort of things Mills should concern himself about!

AND IN ANY CASE if there is anyone (opposition or in authority) who needs to face the wrath of the peoples power by way of punishment it must be done and it only means that Mills must lead the way! that way leading does not make Mills the one to decide to punish or not and it must be clear! THE PEOPLES POWER must be upheld with sanctity and it must be seen to be working! our no! the institutions must work. The presidency must work and it must not matter who is occupying the position!

so let opposition decide to jump around if they want to! let them dance 'gborhey' or mapouka or let them fly to rousing welcomes and there must be enough room to allow all these within the law! Mills must just do his job and that's what's important! if women in Kumasi decide to demonstrate against the recovery of state vehicles from an ex-president Kufuor let them but only let them also understand that no man must take the people for granted! if Asaga takes decision by himself let him be shown some decency lessons!

and let all understand that it's for reasons like these that we must allow everyone to speak and speak freely, be he/she Rawlings the raw one or Kufuor my dear Kufused or Mills the point missing one or Nana the one who want's to be president or just my nonsense self!

Pal dear,

today I write to tell you that I’d take the following actions if i were elected the president of Ghana. Enjoy reading but most importantly, VOTE FOR ME:

1. first and foremost i’d be very populist in my leadership to the annoyance of all who have self-inflicted problems with dizzying understanding of the true meaning of populism!

2. i’d scream out loud and clear enough that as president i seek no popularity that is NOT backed by conscience no matter how visible my person goes public!

in that regard no one shall be allowed to use his/her public office position and public money to advertise through the media congratulatory messages to me or drink-up parties in my name and on my behalf! the case here is public money!

there shall be no billboards or statues announcing me on the scene after assumption of office! not even a privately funded one shall be entertained!

i shall be called simply by my name novisi without the need for any fantacy titles such as His Most Excellency or Sir of any knighthood of too special a group of people of what only God knows!

similarly all members of parliament shall be refered to by their names or by the constituency they represent. no more blindfolding titles of Honourble!

i shall deem it proper to visit the markets unannounced like any other person and feel free to move about when time and space allows!

3. i’d not blind my conscience with my membership of any association be it family (nuclear/extended), alumni, wee-smokers, wakye-eaters, pussy-cat lovers, Barcelona FC. fans or whatever. in other words, I’d be fair to all as much as humanly possible! my mum can only remain my biological mother, beyond that we are all individual human beings.

4. following from article (2) therefore, there shall be the conscious effort aimed with good precision at dealing a most deadly blow directly to the groins of all forms of discrimination! for example, rastamen who qualify for jobs must not be denied opportunities because of the hair they wear! neither should there be the need to state one’s religion or tribe on any form as a requirement for admissions into schools or employments or the nightclubs or the morgues.

5. very crucially I’d let it be known that I seek us all to appreciate clearly and to always remember that Ghana as a country like any other out there on this earth is an ‘artificial’ creation by men (and women). in other words, Ghana was not created by God. Ghana is manmade!

Thus we are just different people who have only chosen to come together as a country and so our differences should be celebrated as such. No man or woman is more human than another! no one is special; not the priest in the cathedral, not the thief on the street, not the representative of the gods in the shrine, not the drug-addict in the slam, not the president! hence the sovereignty of the individual would be respected with utmost regard under the constitution.

6. i’d let it be appreciated that there shall be no fetish about being patriotic! and that it should just be a natural course to serve humanity with each one of us playing his/her part! meaning that if we don’t encourage the promotion of any sense of supremacy of one tribe or race over another why should we come together as one people of a country and deem it appropriate to encourage citizens to regard our country as supreme to any other?

the absurdity therein must be made so clear for all to realize that our continuous existence on this earth is linked directly or indirectly with whatever sustainable measures are taken in other countries on this same earth! therefore if there’s a kid in Afghanistan who’s only getting opium instead of food we must care and if there’s a male child in the USA who’s only getting GM food to make him grow breast like a woman we owe it a duty as human beings to show concern! we must be worried indeed if the kids in Somalia are taking up guns and gunning down other human beings instead of having the opportunity to attend school to learn one plus one equal to two (1 + 1 = 2)!

7. corruption shall be fought head-on with great impact starting with the political leadership and made to trickle down to every nook and cranny! the fish, when it starts to rot starts from the head, not the tail. simple and that complex all combined!

8. i’d seek to let all understand that the secular nature of this ‘synthetic’ country called Ghana as defined by the constitution must be upheld with all sanctity and therefore no one religion shall be allowed to hijack state sponsored institutions and functions. there shall therefore be no room to tolerate any religious practice in government institutions by way of prayers or chants or dance! religion shall remain a private activity or mutually public as per consent of all (and the word is ‘all’ as in all) stakeholders like sexual intercourse! There shall be no rape!

9. i’d push for the legislation of a ceiling on the total number of ministers for any executive term! This number must not exceed 40. And also some ministries must be fixed so that no one can just change them or realign them depending on how severe his scrotum or breast may itch! any need to change must be determined in parliament by SECRETE BALLOT which could only be valid by the presence of two-thirds of all parliamentarians.

there would be no ‘fantacy’ ministers like minister for a region or a senior/junior minister or a minister for children and women! there would be no minister for adults and men! and there would be no minister without a suitcase or portmanteau; or no sorry, portfolio! no, no, no!

10. i’d seek to appeal to the consciences of the masses so that appropriate action is taken to legislate the abolishing of the chieftain system as an embodiment of authority. don’t worry over this pal, i already know it would be very controversial. but the bare facts must be faced:

i’d seek to let all appreciate the fact that the chieftain system is no unique one to Ghanaians or Africans for that matter and that all over the world human beings have had chiefs and queens as and when they so desired and that for our secular democratic establishment to thrive we must have no ‘pockets’ of authority placed in the hands of only a selected few by virtue of any so designated by man for man ‘special’ reproductive organs powered by so called royal blood!

Altenatively, anything close to the continuous existence of the chieftain system must be guided by the following options:

a) any kind of chief or king or odikro or asafoatse shall only exist as a ‘place-holder’ of a ceremonial position. thus no chief/king shall have any executive power! absolutely none!
b) any such chief or paramount chief as allowed by 8(a) shall be elected by open, free and fair democratic elections. This is to ensure participation by all and the people may choose to carry their chief in a palanquin or make him walk barefoot! no problem at all!
c) as the constitution stipulates already, there shall be no kingdom in Ghana and hence no king or super king!

11. There shall be uninhibited freedom of speech. anyone and everyone shall have the right to say or write or sing or signal whatever by way of communication through whatever media be it classroom teaching black/white boards with chalk or charcoal or by email. the enjoyment of this right shall NOT be subject to any pre-condition.

in like manner everyone else, apart from political public office holders shall reserve the right to challenge, if offended, anything said by anyone in the law courts and punitive measures therein sought shall not equal those for criminal offenses. hence everyone shall be responsible for anything he or she says or writes!

in that regard, the president shall course appropriate action by legislation to institute a national day of insults directed at leadership as a whole and the president in particular specially to HAMMER HOME the point of allowing freedom of expression of the word verbally or by written text or whatever!

this day shall NOT be a holiday and it shall pass only as a special marking of liberation of the word in spirit and form in addition to the everyday opportunity to express oneself at will that shall exist anyway!

political leadership and for that matter anybody occupying a position of trust shall not enjoy the right to sue for any offense to him/her by any such expression of words as speech or text or song pertaining to his work in anyway while in office or out of office due to privileges made available by the taxpayer and for the oaths taken to serve the people knowing that actions and inactions of leadership impact on the lives of all citizens however remotely. this therefore shall be an accepted hazard of the job by law!

it must be noted that this exercise seeks to rubbish the claim by some religious warnings like the bible which admonishes that the tongue should not be used anyhow or else it can kill. we must understand that we cannot hold the tongue responsible for any wrong done by any other part of our bodies.

for example, if your tongue screams “kill” and you go ahead to kill someone with your hand, why should we blame the tongue for the killing instead of the hand that killed. in like manner one cannot and should not be held responsible for murder committed by his/her mother just because they are related by blood.

all private media houses shall have (not given but just have) automatically the right to direct their own broadcasts as they deem fit under the constitution.

there shall be no state direction of editorial policy whatsoever! to ensure the erasing of any such semblance the constitution shall be amended appropriately to take away the power of the president to appoint two persons to the National Media Commission. that provision is absolutely useless and foolish indeed.

all state media houses however shall be guided by clear regulations to ensure political and other social balances in their broadcast!

*for the avoidance of any doubt the exercise of this freedom of expression by way of words shall be recognized as only a fundamental expression and shall NOT include all other forms of human expression such as throwing one’s hand to hit another woman’s bottom. It shall NOT cover physical actions like movement of body parts. period! in other words a child may play with the mother’s breast but definitely not the fathers scrotum! 12. i shall seek to abolish the school feeding programme and rather ensure that parents have opportunities to earn handsome and beautiful incomes to take care of their kids. if schools should engage in feeding children then parents shall pay for the service directly to ensure that there is accountability from the schools and that the foot served is proper so that parents shall be encouraged to inspect the food served!

13. i’d realign the national youth employment programme under the national service scheme with proper resourcing of the national service scheme to come up with old and innovative ways of making sure the youth are not allowed to waste away!

everyone must be involved in doing something meaningful for development. and in that regard, I’d course it to be properly communicated by my own self without a special assistance or a speaking-person for me that that is what the economy is about and not abstract and sometimes twisted figures of inflation or gdp or indices generated out of balloon bellies. the economy is all about the little that everyone does. simple as that!

14. there shall be no ex-gratia! every government employee shall have proper salary and placement on the pension scheme! i’d institute moves to ensure that aside needed privileges, political office holders do not earn as income anything that does not fit into the general economic situation so that what the political office holder earns would not be too different by a measure of not more than double from what the teacher in Asawase earns! i repeat; there shall be no ex-gratia!

upon my completion of service to you i shall be the one who would thank you dearly for the opportunity granted to have the honour of serving you! it shall not be the other way round! and Jesus died on the cross but not in vain!

15. i shall pursue with vigor and alacrity the unification of Africa at least economically in an effort to seek economic independence for the African continent! and in that regard, there must be a conscious effort to raise the stakes so very high in order to do away with any traits of the likes of idi Amin Dada, Mobuto Sese Seko, Empireror Bokassa Charles Tailor, Samuel Doe, Eyadema, Abacha, etc, etc, etc!

i shall take other step as appropriate to ensure the people whose tax and in whose name i seek aid as need get their monies worth!

the drive looked like an easy velocity to me standing by and minding my own biz! in fact i hardly noticed but for the abrupt veer off the road to it's rough shoulder in my direction.

i had to take speedy backward steps to ensure continuation of normal life. there was hardly time to turn first... instinct only instructed motion! and i moved like a zombie.

I first heard a plump 'mummy-like' woman scream a frightening eeiiiiiii... then i saw the front passengers door swung wide open. everything looked cool and normal and i thought the woman screamed for me to protest on my behalf for the near breaking of my bones! no pal, not so!

my attention was drawn by the loud-mouth cab driver who rained pitiful insults on the little gals who were occupying the front seat. their crime, the elder one had allowed the younger one to open the door while the ride was still in motion so that life was threatened!

the cabby called the older gal, age about 9 a witch! and she dare not bring her charms to destroy his bizness! momentarily i wondered what men and women like this guy know of responsibility first before wizardry! then i wondered too if that wasn't the same guy who nearly hit me to the ground! but i pittied more the pyschological play on the lil gals.

i prayed for them: may the Lord keep such words far from their mental growth! and the driver too, may he stop to think the world is only as good as how much money one could make without challenges!

the funny thing for me in there is the fact that some make it look like it's some Eureka principle just brought from some super brains! this is so basic a fact that it stares us all in the face everyday and i would for nonsense sake call for the prosecution of any man be he/she a pastor or fetish or imam who chooses to negatively affect the lives of more pastors and fetishes and imams who are yet to be born at any time capital T.

For example all those who enjoyed the sweet fruits of independent Ghana so called and yet did not see reason to sustain let alone improve on our resources like education for me must all be lined up for questions!!!

Non-Generational Thinking Mumuni?
Now pal, I just want to blast away this guy called Mumuni of the rank of Alhaji who now is our Minister of Affairs of Foreign Dimensions However Defined! he must realise first of all that the ministry is not for his nose! neither is it for his leg nor his high powered thurbo-charged jumbo genital organ! so he must be prepared to to give us a break.

As it stands no criminality has been found against this man! so it's just fair that man Mumuni would want to stand on the grounds of innocent until proven guilty. fair deal. but why??? is he the only Ghanaian who could head our foreign ministry at this point in time.

Pal, it must be said that it's a very funny situation in that Mumuni man may choose to stay on while fighting his case alright and there would be nothing legally wrong. But it would be also right that man Mumuni would just step aside say some 5kM away from the ministry just to allow non-detraction to government business. which must a man choose??? tough?

it must be painful indeed for any man or woman to be saddled with whatever allegation upon his head or some other part of his/her body so that if affects whatever position he chooses to serve in. be it a family or clan head or keeper of a people's cowry collections!

I was one of those who called for the honourable resignation of Anani the then health minister who went representing all Ghanaians at an HIV/AIDs conference and decided to sex some gal without wearing a condom which resulted in a child on our behalf and on his own behalf. I would still call for that man to resign anyday no matter how he's out of government now! not just that there were allegations of some money going to some wrong places from the right place! Anani still owes us just a little respect for insulting that he did it to our benefit!

and so now mumuni and the charge is about money! ok. let mumuni be proven right or wrong but for the sake of peace in Bawku and Afghanistan no matter how far fetched... let mumuni too give us the peace of mind we deserve! the government of Ghana's business must go on and he must just allow that! so for that reason i say get the fuck out of the place man mumuni!! well if you don't want the fuck then you can get the sex out of there! his personal posturing is not helping matters! first he says he won't resign... then he says condition...

this has been one of my busiest weeks with all the happenings around me and you and everyone else!

ministerial positions:
First pal, and just one of the reasons why i think our constitution is bogus- it's about time that we as a body of one people within and without the 'artifial' borders labeled Ghana identify and fix some more ministerial positions which no 'funny' president can 'too-easily' change without seeking aproval from parliament for eg. and there must be a maximum number of ministeries for any executive! any need to exceed that maximum number could be decided in parliament too!

meanwhile:
Mills is appointing designees, parliament is vetting and passing back nominees to Mills to swear in ministers of importance and non-importance!

the following are wasteful (we are just about 20 mil pple!!!):
minister for information
minister for women and children affairs
minister for culture and chieftiancy
minister at the presidency (in charge of whatever the presidency may tell him!)
some regional minister - 10 or them! but we don't need them at all. DCEs/MCEs are enough! and let's elect those too!

the following are beautiful duplications:
1. minister for science and technology 2. minister for communication (ain't communication largely about technology???).

and all the above would have deputy ministers??? So let Mills stop making noise that he has reduced the number of ministers. Talking about noise pal, (and i digress with glee) i believe beating one's chest and claiming to have fulfilled a promise to reduce the number of ministries by only four with all the above mentioned in place is what should be labeled noise and not public outcry against ex-gratia!!!

No cars! yes or NO, no cars! all the shit talk about recieving two visitors at the same time is Bush's bull... what if he recieves twenty visitors? absolutly no cars and no cars... if cars are needed and the state is involved then state protocol can always make those available as and when needed. finish!

3. No Seed money for no project or library or whatever shit! if any president want's to run any project he should go raise his own funds... we may choose to give them tax-exempt... that's about how far we might wish to be foolish... no more...

4. Security is vital... personally i would reject any security following my every move should i become ex-president cos man, i love LIFE-clandestine... and afterall what should i be afraid off if even someone wrongly wishes to strike my head... because afterall could i ever count the number of lives i might have negatively affected as per my actions or inactions... man is human everyday! so well... let there be security alright!

5. No motor-cades... for what? nonsense!

6. No travel expenses... if after taking more than 3 thousand dollars a month for 8yrs at most and 4 yrs at least (which money in any case is only left to acrue interest or some treasury bill because the dictates of the office provides even condoms and female condoms for free in the name of presidential comfort!) and one cannot afford to travel on his/her personal purse then that man or woman must be an idiot indeed!

7. pay either pension or salary.... not both... both is foolish and idiotic combined... no sense!

our leaders must be ready to offer voluntary service or they must stay their private lives!

why should a state newspaper which is mandated to report fairly without bias put out such headline. whatever be the interest of whichever interested party in this matter who finds him/herself at a position of decision on headlines at the state paper, This headline which clearly maligns one political party is totally uncalled for! it is foolish to say the least if not stupid. shit!!!

why so some people think that they must use our tax money for foolish agenda is something i don't accept and pal you must not accept it no matter which party or fan club you belong to. This is a matter which clearly must be removed from the political party npp by a state institution. No concert here pal... i just don't get the logic pal. why must we by all means see ourselves always and on any matter as either npp or cpp or ndc or shit???

well pal, i know a lot of people are jumping and screaming about that npp folks have taken the houses meant for those who can afford (affordable houses right?) but be it as it may pal, i don't support any such thievery but matters must be put into the right contexts for 'nonsense' sake!

i was nearly moved to do a second talk on it bcos i was happy when it came out that others of other faiths came questioning! that is the spirit!! see? why select some religion and leave out others when you claim to be doing a national religious exercise??? in any case who tells Mills and his religious 'followership' and/or 'leadersihp' that we all believe in prayers fashioned in the form of some 'jerico hour' anyway??? who told Mills?

and then after the prayers what happened??? didn't we see folks at Agbogbloshie clash with the apparent attack of ndc block-heads on npp folks??? where is all the reconcilliation now??? where is the prayer? or were these folks not invited to the prayer sections? why was Kufuor not present since he too set up a whole commission for reconciliation which displayed more than convincingly how the whole agenda was about maligning some people... reconcilliatoin?? that certainly would hardly be achieved with sectarianism!

Kweku Baaku (Baaku in Twi means 'one' or???) aslo known NOW as Malik is charging that he would let Konadu the beloved wife of the one RAW(lings) JJ of former times meet her at CHRAJ... and i think it's one of the most beautiful things ever to happen to this artificial creation by man called Ghana! (read here)

why not??? pal, i wish one day my wife would continue to look as elegant and smart and sweet and 'witchy-in-bed' (wiches charm right?...charming...!) long into her old age like Mrs. RAW(lings) but man, I have always thought that Konadu if for nothing at all messed up big time once the term 'conflict of interest' makes meaning at all.

How can you a wife of a so called Junior Jesus 'almost' (if not exactly) of an "all-dirt-cleaning-revolutionary" era bring yourself to such state of affairs where you end up buying state property claiming that it was put on tender??? tender my... well, one-half-of-my ass...! Last time i checked too, Kufuor said the bogus awards he dished out were for reconcilliation... o m g!!!

so it was under Kufuor that court action was initiated against Konadu alright on our behalf... sweet one, but pal, to be frank the play out of the executive in this particular case leaves much to be desired... i'm very convinced that other than seeking justice on behalf of the people, some few thought either they could score cheap/expensive political capital out of it or that they were just out there to play foolish...ignoring the fact that our taxes were at stake...

The whole Konadu-Caridem saga is bunch of shit that i want clarified and if she's found guilty she must pay for it... i have already found her guilty in my own court of law for 'conflict of interest'!!! i don't have the luxury of time to waste pal... because i felt this way before finding out that even Clinton could not enjoy pay which she took part in passing for her current office under Obama (and that is even a written regulation... mine is what you call 'whatever' be it that nothing in our constitution or laws debars such clear unfair advantage-taking...

and here we are today and Mills man want's us to join him to pray for reconcilliation??? well, not a bad thing to pray for, but i think it's bogus to call us all to gather for this exercise... i won't be there Mills and i want to scream that into your ears!

reconcilliation won't drop from above the skys or wherever some heaven is... what we ought to do is to work to achieve reconcillation... work and work hard... you must reach across the political divide to your rivals... you should have called man Nana Akufo-Addo (man me think doesn't promote unity enough) by now and let us all have full insight or hint of such a move... you should have long condemned attacks on npp folks by ndc folks and do same for npp folks who attack ndc folks. you should have done these with clear pointers that we are all Ghanaians (if you won't admit human beings with a global view beyond your artificial borders!) and that every Ghanaian life is important... you should have asked for an inquiry into the so called npp-refugees saga by now...

so all these funny acts of 'national day of prayer' or whatever would yield nought if serious steps are not taken by you the most powerful of all Ghanaian citizens to heal true and percieved wounds... i've been seeing too much of folks who should be at work gathering during peak hours claiming to be praying in the bushes of Achimota and other places like 'Jerico' for 'Jerico hour' on the spintex road... the last thing i want to see now, man Mills is a gathering of able-bodied men and women gathered by you to a national jerico hour! after all what does the bible on which you 'mis-swore' your oath of office not say about faith and work...???

meanwhile, the last time I checked Ghana is supposed to be a secular state and not one bound by any religion... so just keep your faith to yourself and the synague pastor now! else let's have days for all the other believes as well including Antoa-Nyama and Nogokpo and Barhai and Hinduism and ....and... and not just Christianity and Islam...

let us work towards reconcilliation..

pal dear,

i've not written a poem in a long time... and so i find the following piece very inspiring for that part of me... however i must tell you that this poem is one that is coming out of me trying to question my very self and in so doing questioning society at large as to why we wait (for what?)... i believe that many of our problems are self-inflicted and if only we would spend a little time to 'look into the mirrors of life"... pause and THINK..., then perhaps we would realise that "there's nothing new under the sun" as we are told...

well, i'm not a good commentator of my own poems... i have long realised that.... so just know that the following poem is inspired out of questions i started asking again (i've long been asking these though) after Tsatsu Tsikata spoke at the Du Boi Centre in Accra after getting his bail (which bail i need further education on- amidst all the conflicting legal tales- as to how come after the presidential pardon..., but that's not the point here anyway!)... so in a sense it's a follow-up on my previous posting titled tsatsu the ant... (especially so because i'm not sure i make much sense in that prose).

tsatsu the ant

dear pal,

a lot of things are happening more quickly than the processing power of my tiny brain let alone the the dance of my lazy typing fingers on a keyboard...,

pal, the Ga language does have a word 'tsatsu' which means 'ant' (the animal? or insect!)... the above photo gives you an almost red collour of a typical ant in some greenish background. mind you pal, the ant is said to be a social insect!! and so why do i bother you with all these??? well why not keep your mind off the personality i'm going to talk about and just focus 'small' on the core issues i raise "herein hereafter" (hehehehehe)!!!

so Tsatsu has been granted bail alright as per his fight for justice after Kufuor decided to exercise power of pardon to release him... interesting times still... coincidences do happen huh or do they???

whatever be the course of the forces that spin this world, if i were man Tsatsu, i would have also rejected with more beautiful words the pardon of Kufuor.... in any case i have always said that our constitution is a bogus one and one of the reasons i think so is because it gives such powers to a (and note the letter 'a') president!!!

the law:
willfully causing financial loss to the state, that law i have already said is a vague law that needs to be scrapped before we all get crazy if at least i am not already... but then sure if man 'thieves' our resources then man must be made to face the law but not this 'too discretional' law me think... it is a LAZY LAW man! very LAZY!!!

i believe that if we are to apply this law to the letter then all all us must be in jail because i believe we've all done things and i mean things that could be termed easily by some lazy one as causing financial law 'willfully too' to the state! haaaaaba!

but be it as it may, i and i and i believe with all my heart and with all my might (what a funny word here!), that it is VERY CLEAR that man Tsikata; first was a VICTIM OF POWER INTOXICATION led by Kufuor and the fake human rights activist Nana Akufo-Addo... Secondly, i (and the other i) believe that man Tsikata did not get a fair trial under all the so called rule of law which unfairness i believe was juicily demonstrated to a 'soprano-crescendo' on the day of his sentencing to a five year jail term by the trial judge Justice Henrietta Abban in all holiness...

After all that 'gymnastic' display by Justice Abban and subsequent bias pronouncements to paint man Tsatsu as deserving of his jailing by the 'president' Kufuor himself on public/party platforms came the beautiful dance calling for more years for man Tsatsu the Tsikata!!!

i note the limitations of man and woman with all respect to those who have come before us on this same earth... but i also note the knowledge man and woman have come to aquire since since since...

so what pal???
so Tsatsu the Tsikata gets bail alright and comes out and he's talking sense and he's talking nonsense too man! man Tsatsu says he's going (as he's already began since going to jail) to seek for just for not only himself but for the many many many many (many times many!) folks who have found themselves in jail unjustly with some being on just an un-ending journey of remand...

so what again pal? so does man Tsikata want me to believe that had he not been to jail he wouldn't have known that such were the foolish conditions of our judicial/penal system??? please spare us this one... well i hope that is not what you mean... but that is what you said... that it was while you were there that you realised all these things and so you have deemed it a duty upon your very self to fight for more justice...

and i say to man Tsatsu... that realisation is a good one for which he could count on a boy like me but the mentality being displayed by him to the effect that one only had to be faced with a particular situation such as this before realising what corrective measures to take for me is a slap on the face and i wish to condemn such an attack on my sensibility with all the my MIGHT...

i find it rather intriguing that man Tsatsu who is tauted so much to be a legal luminary of excellence with almost a needle-edge precission (and again pal, just look again at the photo of the ant above and don't mind my spin on a man i consider personally very very modest by the measure of many worthy scales... still, just focus on the core!) and as one who has been in the legal profession for so long to now come telling me this story... where has he been all these while??? even me, who is so faraway from the legal/penal system by profession have good knowledge that there is a lot of rot in there... and i never need to be jailed to realise this thing... it's just all over the world... it's right there before us all... so where has man Tsatsu been all these while...???

pal, if you wonder what i'm talking about... then my simple case is that if Tsatsu had been really really concerned about the human rights of folks... and if he knows that it's possible to get the wrong man or woman in jail (which knowledge shouldn't be far fetched for a trained lawyer like him), then shouldn't he have been concerned long long ago to at least do a researh to find out what the situation really was if even he could not imagine it being true??? so that it need not take him to be jailed before coming to realise this thing and to now claim to be waging a fight which a boy like me is ever ready to fight along with him to secure the human rights of folks???

so when would we awake to the 'bare faces' of basic principles????

and i make herein a reference to Obama's inaugural speech and i do so not because i think he's the inventer of these principles but just because he too seems to be championing them with an admission by himself that these principles have been around for so long...they are not new... and i quote:
” Our challenges may be new. The instruments with which we meet them may be new. But those values upon which our success depends - hard work and honesty, courage and fair play, tolerance and curiosity, loyalty and patriotism - these things are old. These things are true."

[aside: pal, don't forget as i would usually urge you, to ignore whatever talk about such as patriotism as in the above by Obama since those really are neither here nor there... again, i can serve a country with all clear and sound measures without limiting myself to a limitation such a patriotism.... At worst (and not best) let me be layal and patriotic to the whole of humanity...not any funny borders created by man...]

and then there is the promise of more women ministers to cum (wrong spelling???) by a 40 per cent share of the whole by Mills of Ghana! 40% !!!

i don't know what it all might mean??? just women ON-TOP of affairs??? pal, i seek the scrapping of that ministry for women and children's affairs with the speed of light! no??? what is the purpose of that ministry??? i don't get it with all my naivety! for Yesu's sake find something else for Akua Danua to do man Mills!! is it that women issues can't be addressed with the many socially centered government agencies??? and i don't mean NGO's... what is the department of social welfare meant for??? else Mills, if you won't do the scrapping which obviously you have demonstrated you won't then better have a ministry for the likes of me who have a pair of tenderly-rounded stuff in-between our legs...

so what? is it all about just delivering on promises??? (read here) and i see a funny thing. you promised that you would cut the number of ministries... fine with me... but what??? just because you cut out four including the ministry of Fisheries to the apparent delussion of Gladys Asmah you want me to jump??? how so cheap... look man Mills, i'm not one of those who are crying that you must fulfill all your promises because there are some of the promises i don't find sense in much... therefore, i challenge you to reduce DRASTICALLY the size of government far less than what JJ the RAWlings had... don't think that just because i can count to four less than what Kuffuor offered then i should be all happy for you... nonsense!

and now, i see that the sharp-tongued Ama Benyiwah-Doe is among your ministerial nominations... i must tell you that she's one i definitely never wanted to see as a minister... i know she fought hard for you and so on... but i never voted for you because of Ama Benyiwa-Doe!!! i do not think she can't perform... she might just come out sweet and all juicy... but for orgasm's sake, i hope she does not come screaming at us all like she did to Kweku Baaku (who deserved such screams on many occassions me thing anyway) on PeaceFM. she might be a good campaigner but i can only wait to see... and that she's the minister of your own region where you tried since 2000 to have support you... i can only wait to see... i wait to let her prove me wrong that i can't place her in a category close to characters like Gladys Asmah, Ameley Tagoe and Sheik IC Quaye of immediate past times.... there's seems to be a thin line there...

oneday very soon it would be a law passed by the Ghanaian parliament that all first-borns of families be castrated once well determined that they are male and not female.... and we would be told to accept it because it is the rule of law in a high velocity motion...

so finally the former Kufuor administration has hit us with one of the most mind-blowing packages for former presidents and vice presidents and etc! i'm not lost for words but just read this!!

someone or Kufuor himself wants for him in addition to his salary which he will retire with an exGratia award and as icing on the 'chop-chop' a place on the pension scheme among other lunatic privileges! if this is not madness enough and if you think i'm crying loud abuot nothing then just check what benefits all kinds of former leaders around the world gain from their state! and i don't intend to compare for the sake of it but even the US of A where all sorts of 'stolen'-human-resources lie bare at their feet they don't resort to such idiocy!!! we are told that bush security after office for example will last for only ten yrs!

i have personally always held the view that the previleges of Rawlings are nonsensical enough... two houses or so and security and staff and 'aids' that are paid by the state... (i don't bother about whatever privileges that were withdrawn by the former executive no matter how distasteful if find the reasons for the Akufo-Addo led withdrawal...)!!! the remaining facilities at his disposal for me is too much...

IF EVEN WE HAD THE ECONOMY TO SUPPORT SUCH extravaganza and 'fanfair' I DEEM IT THE HEIGHT OF LUNACY TO EVEN TABLE IT FOR CONSIDERATION LET ALONE IMPLEMENTATION...

so pal, i don't want to say too much... i just wish to call on Kufuor to come out loud and clear HIMSELF to condemn such a facility 'IMPOSED' on him with his full knowledge on our behalf and on his own behalf that is meant to drain our sweat and blood and tears and piss and .....

does Ghana have a leader (president?) at all??? what's all the mess going on about cars, about toilets, about dismissals, about shootings and damn about any shit...

we have been told Fiifi (i like the sound of that- fiiiiifii) has decided to setup office at the Osu Castle for a temporal post.... still in transition i guess he would like us to believe... but see pal, i'm not one to be decieved... i mean, Fiifi the Mills old man got sworn into office by some tailored oaths, (which oath i don't believe he swore truly anyway) on the 7th Jan. That is a long time ago for one who promises to hit the ground running to asert himself (and i mean ASERT HIMSELF)... but not to continue to play it like he himself is still in transition!

LET MILLS COME OUT CLEAR ON ALL THE FOOLISHNESS GOING ON AND CALL FOR ORDER HIMSELF!!! THAT IS DEFINITELY ONE WAY TO DEMONSTRATE LEADERSHIP... and let him not just sit on his butts in his 'presidential chair' only to be sending spokespersons after spokespersons to tell us (what???).

Mills is not in transition and that must be made loud and clear to him no matter how his God-given eyes might be failing him! Osu Castle i believe is not a bad idea... there's nothing wrong in making it an office... in fact i'm of the view that those who claim that the Osu Castle only represents slavery might just as well tell us all to vamoose from the whole land cos slavery was carried out in the whole land man! my point is; can we just be humble enough to accept the failures of man and woman and then learn from these so that our forward march is made more meaningful???? So let the Jubilee house be finished first... no problem... but ASERT YOUR LEADERSHIP NOW!!!

Mill's says we should expect his cabinet by 31st Jan. I'm not sure if that's when he expects that all the due processes would have been completed... but if it's just to name the whos them Mills man must know that no matter what pressures he might want us to imagine for him... that is just too long a time to just name (if that's just it-- to name)! So until then he and his vice are the only substantive people with executive power! therefore he and his vice must be calling the shots but not some acting folks under whatever guise! LOOK, BE SERIOUS!!!

and also let Fiifi move out of his spintex-road residence to a relocation at the Osu Castle or at least close by enough to save the poor folks of the his nuisance of causing trafic jam just to allow his priviledged passaged! I hope Fiifi gets the message clear that Ghanaians don't have to wait for the date of the next elections to effect a sack of the NDC if need be!!! clearly the constitution makes it know that 4 years could (and the word is could) be too long and perhaps too costly...

we (including myself and others) are watching... as for me i'm demanding change!! Change must come and therefore the MESS must stop!!

so Microsoft says tomorrow we should expect the release of their latest windows OS which they are calling windows 7!

after creating all the mess in the world with the so called Vista we are being told of some clean up! no problem! i look forward to it.

me i always advised folks off the 'devil' of the Vista OS because it's just annoying... stick to good old Windows XP or at best welcome to the world of Open-source!

pal, i'm one of those who believe that software must not be paid for! so while Microsoft is at it's capitalist best and trying to rule the world... i would just wait!

but funny enough, though i've read about some issues even about the Windows 7 i have a funny feeling that Windows 7 will just be fine!

Pal, i hope you've heard about the nomination of Burris to the US senate. we are being told he's a good and competent man who got nominated by Blagojevich, a tainted man! Obama has already spoken against the nomination just like i expected him to... but now we are being told that the black caucus are asking that he be accepted(??). is that 'tribalism' (???)... if racism is not a better word, hahahaha.... but ME wont go there... cos ME believe everyone or group has genuine concerns... just fine so!

i think it's a tricky one now, but if you ask me pal, my preference would be that Burris steps aside or get's kicked aside to allow for some fresh air because i also believe the nomination is tainted and also because i believe he's not the only one around town! there are certainly others who would not get such stain (some other stain maybe!) and get down to biz! but on the other hand too...why deny a man the chance to prove himself just because of some stain???...that's a legit question...but i believe stepping aside himself or getting kicked aside by others is the best choice under the circumstances???

I was taken aback this morning when i read from the front page of the Daily Graphic that Prez-elect Atta Mills says "I'LL BE FATHER TO ALL"...

That statement reminds me of when Kufuor also got elected in the year 2000! he said something like that!

but pal, i think our leaders must start getting what it means in very plain terms what it means to be elected a leader...be it labeled president or some other funny name!

Mills, let me tell you... "you are not my father and i want you to stop thinking me to see you as such..." that mentality is basically problematic...since it could easily lend itself to reducing your responsibilities to providing tokens and encouraging me to accept because you are 'my father'! and i your obedient son??? nonsense!

what i want Mills to know is that he is my employee and ought to serve me! if he doesn't get it clear; what i mean is that i'm the boss here! and so are all there millions of Ghanaians who are waiting for you to serve them.

so better get to work and stop calling yourself father...and i hope your wife too does not start parading herself about as my mother as Mrs. Kufuor did!

there's a funny talk about us having an infant democracy!

therefore we should be ok with change of governments from incumbent to opposition and so on (almost so!!)....but i hardly understand what all that talk is about...i really don't understand why that talk.... but i understand!

A SHORT ASIDE....{in one breath...i claim i don't understand, in same breath...not another....i claim also that i understand....now, you tell me how both situations can exist in my crazy head at the same time.....hahahaha!}

A simple question is how many years should it take before we come to realise that a president who is supposed to be our servant does not dare award himself on our behalf and on his own behalf and then go on to demand respect and rounds of applause??? how many years...??? that's a simple question!

The more dangerous thing for me is that some are too ready to accept our current status by comparing us to the rest of Africa where clearly democracy is at best a circus! READ THIS!!! but why???

if we live in a continent where civil wars and coup d' tats happen before one could blink the eyes, you won't be too far from accepting just a simple breath of fresh air in the form of a so called 'infant' democracy passing as a mere change of government executive power from an incumbent to opposition!!

That kind of standard setting is too low and infantile if not bogus!!! i wonder how many years we need to have ran democracy before realising that we should set higher stands of rule of law and good governance! and please don't tell me that America has been at it for so long...No! yes they have but see the foolishness of Bush??? and did the Germans not give birth to Adolf Hitler under democracy??? tell me now pal, that you understand my craziness...!

My point is that principles don't change with time...so that we have to wait till SOMEday after a centurial time before learning to adhere to sound principles that benefit all... therefore we must make sure we all get involved so that we have folks who demonstrate sound minds leading us....instead of the ones who only display impunity and arrogance and foolishness and stupidity and thievery and more!!

Pal, that's the question i would put to Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo should he dare grant me audience!

I don't seem to understand this man who claims to believe in Ghana so much that he makes it look like he's the one and only believer now!

Finally he's made public a statement to congratulate Mills as the president elect. But my question to the man is: have you placed that BEAUTIFUL PHONE CALL to your old fellow Mills??? we are in an era where it's almost becoming a part of the process to place a call to your competitor in a presidential race to just say the word 'congratulations'! if for nothing at all it demonstrate that you whole heatedly respects the decision of the people!!!

but instead of Nana to place that call which in any case the public would not be partake in directly to just show a demonstration of going a 'little further' he is still grumbling about criminalities which according to him occurred in the volta region!

Does Nana think a soul like me is stupid or what? why is he pretending to be championing the cause of all when obviously he's only interested in solving problems that would be to his benefit! he talks about the volta region as if it is some devils place now! that is sad to say the least! and let me tell him that that kind of attitude would only antagonise the people of the region and push the further away from him in particular and his party!

Pal, you would think that the race is over and therefore i should be calm....as if i'm not already, but this man Nana is just acting funny! he is pretending that he never heard of any attacks on anybody in any part of the country apart from the volta region during the 2008 elections! That is deceptive!

pal, I have always said that i believe that out electoral system (the whole system) is a very bogus one! but what? we have lived with it and improved it somehow since 1992! and Nana is one person who has in one way or the other taken part in elections in this country since then! so what??? has he suddenly realise all the faults in the system? and funny enough his view is not even universal...it's so skewed towards his ambition to become president.

word around town says "tain will tell" instead of the well known "time will tell" [note: (Tain is pronounced, something like 'tine')]!

so comes the political Showdown In Little Tain! ...i pity the poor folks who have to now bear the invasion of all sorts of people in their normal lives with so much at stake on a thin line between peace and war!

Landslide:
Pal, I don't think anyone should be myopic at all about the 2008 results in Ghana! the run-off produced a clear landslide victory for the old man Prof. Atta Mills! what??? am i crazy? no pal, i'm not crazy but i'm crazy still...but i'm not blind to the clear sight of all the baloon of figures from the Ashanti Region (amidts all the untrusted results from the volta region as well) that have made the totals look like it's just so close!

Let's look at it again...close...closer...closely... a whooping 8 out of 10 regions voted for Mills and with good percentage leads! that leaves Nana Addo with only 2 regions. That is whooping! And out of the remaining 2 for Nana Addo his own home region which is the Eastern Region was hotly contested and the results there were almost split! That leaves Nana with only Ashanti Region which he won clearly (amidst the baloons that make nonsense of his win there anyway)!

so a good read into the dynamics of the electoral results would clearly tell you that this elections was not and is not one that is too close to call. If i were Nana Addo, and i was declared winner of this elections i would be very worried...too worried! why? because it's clear that i don't have majority support in clearly 8 regions out of 10. that should be worrying enough! So again if i was Nana Addo, and given that everything points out that Atta Mills has won this elections i wouldn't play fool hardy with a strong head and pretend that only 'tain can tell'! I would have conceded!

Concede??:
but pal, thankfully i'm not Nana and so i'm sitting in my little conner feeling proud about the votes i caste for the first and second time ever in my life while he is insisting and pretending that it's only a 'showdown in little tain' that can give Ghana president!

but you see pal, some funny part of me also wishes Nana not to concede anyway so that he could get a sound thrashing in Tain with the hope that the kind of 'ghostly' 99% turn out in some parts of Kumasi does not result in Tain!

but you see pal, for those who don't know that Nana really believes in 'moving forward' read what i'm about to point out. Nana and some few adamant folks following or leading him have started indicating that 'Tain will NOT tell' after all because either before or after Tain they are asking for re-run of some of the voting that took place in the volta region. They claim that their supporters were intimidated and some got beating and Gabby Ochere-Darko said on JoyFM this morning that some got 'apia'...therefore there should be a re-run??? is Nana a serious man??? is that what he percieves as good enough reason for re-run of polls when obviously foolishness was carried out by both parties?? even in Accra there was intimidation and beatings!

So it's a full 'forward motion'; full-speed without looking to even see whether the way is clear or not. no! it's plain simple-'moving forward'...that's all...nothing else! So we are being told that they believe in the rule of law so want to see that the rule of law works! how not so cheap??? is it not funny that for a man who once told Mills to concede to Kufuor in the face of all sorts of irregularities in our polls suddenly realises that elections must be stretched to the very last vote no matter at what cost???

But pal, i'm not surprised at all about Nana and his followers and leaders. Suddenly all the principles they have shouted at roof tops to believe in (which someone like me realised way back b4 2004 to be fake) are being turned over with impunity and being thrown at us? who would have thought that Jake 'son of the fatherless' Lamptey would today be looking JoyFM in the ass and castigating them for 'projecting' the elections in favour of Mills??? life is a square huh!

There are several clear reasons why Nana Addo should (not must but should) just save us the trouble! but hey! I won't be surprised that the Nana man would call for a total re-run of the whole elections again just so that he becomes the winner! he just must be winner or else there was no elections... what does that kind of posturing tell a crazy mind like mine, let alone a sound one???

AND TODAY, of all days... I STILL HEAR NANA SAYING HE WAS THE winner OF THE FIRST ROUND OF BALLOTS (at a press conference in his house or so) TODAY OF ALL DAYS... this man who claims to have respect for the 'rule of law' does not even RESPECT HOW a WINNER is determined by the constitution of Ghana for a presidentail election! shame! if he doesn't know that is different but he knows and so to claim that he was winner is pure deception. He clearly knows that in a presidential election in Ghana a winner is one who obtains 'more than 50% of the total ballots cast! so what shit dat tok about he being WINNER??? 'winner for the where???'

see pal, i'm no fun off Nana at all becaue i think the guy lacks some 'common sense'! some jump up and down about him...me i don't...not a man who tells me that he believes that everyman must own (and note that the word is 'own') a house! but see i would have given him his due had he clearly won this elections and then go on to give him some rope to prove to me he deserves my respect as a leader...that won't come automatically at all...but more and more the man proves that he does not care whatever happens so far as he he is crownned president!

yet this is a man who while contesting for the nomination of his own party had to rely on the magnanimity of of his fellow contestant to have him enstooled or birthed or charmed or whatever but surely controversially made the presidential candidate of the npp!

THE TRUE DEMOCRAT:
so pal, what do you think if at the end of the day, Nana gets to win the Tain showdown so that prof Ata Mills as usual of him goes ahead to concede defeat! you think that would be end of story??? is anybody taking the political temperature in this country??? Do we realise that just because of the posturing of Nana, yesterday this whole country was almost plunged into some state of emergency with companies and shops closing by mid-day because of fear! has anyone imagined yet how much money the country lost yesterday???

so the democrats that the leaders of the npp are! let's look at a simple scenario! Rawlings we are told is no democrat. ok...accepted! but how come the self-proclaimed democrats are showing little signs of any commitment to their own self proclamations! Meanwhile the evil Raw(lings) lead under some guise of democracy and HANDED OVER PEACEFULLY without hanging onw with any kangaroo tactics of delay when we kicked out the ndc with all the force we could muster! by that singular act, i dare say the likes of Akuffo Addo and Kuffour dare not accuse Raw(lings) of not being a democrat unless they realise their nonsense, admit it publicly and then repent profusely!

Pal, if i was a member of the npp i would be very very very DISGUSTED by the posturing of Akufo Addo! yes i would! This is a man who across the length and breadth of this country is thought to be an ARROGANT person who has one and only one objective in this country and that objective is to become president! assuming this view of him is misplaced, how does he help himself by insisting that we must by all means finish in Tain and then go on perhaps to re-run others in the volta region before the winner be determined...??? how so when we have a very clear case on our hands!

well pal, we can debate legalities in the court of law...but should that be the place for determining the presidents of this country really? would that leave us united??? so in as much as Nana may want to test some of his prowers at the law subject let him not plunge us all in any chaos!

I'm not patriotic. I have hardly been since i found out the meaning of the word!!!

but I just wanted to say:

let all ghanaians realise that this is definitely ghana time!

this is not ndc or npp time!

we ought to see that a few people cannot take the country hostage!

there are good people in npp and there are good people in ndc who all see Ghana first before party!

and the appeal is for these people to rise up and defend ghana by asking Nana to concede!

Pal, thanks to the run-off, i've for the first time in my life done my second voting ever! nice one!

I don't for the life of me trust the Ghana Electoral system enough! I just don't! no matter how it churns out president's so far for Ghana! the word is trust!!!

and i will tell you why!
I know the electoral system as a whole is ok but i don't trust it.

1. We can't trust results from most parts of the Volta Region and we can't trust results from most parts of the Ashanti Region which both happens to be strongholds of the two major parties, ndc and npp respectively!

2. I don't see why the EC allows voting by proxy! that can't be trusted enough!

3. Up till now the EC agents are using 'makola' calculators but not at least pentium 1 laptops!

4. A number of party polling agents and the EC officials do not understand the very rules set for the elections by the EC.

these and other funny ways of transporting ballot papers and the collation of results makes it difficult for me to really trust the electoral system!

Solutions:
1. nullify the proxy system until we can make good sense out of it. just like ropal...don't let that thing come till we are making sense enough!

2. improve on monitoring in the Volta and Ashanti regions!

3. EC must start procuring and training officials to use computers for collations!

4. The parties and the EC must train and train and retrain their agents on the rules!

5. The system of prostesting against a suspected 'illegal' voter is not cool koraaaaaa! one has to only fill a form. that's all. meanwhile the results would be declared and then you have to look at the courts if the EC does not respond satisfactorily!

okay man!
i know elections is just ongoing...and i know the EC man Afari Djan has on several occassions assured Ghanaians...but maybe it's just that i don't see what Afari sees! but i'm stating that of all the elections conducted in the country so far, i can't trust the results enough! that includes 1992, 1996, 2000, 2004 and let me just include 2008 becuase it is on going!

this view of mine would still be held by me no matter who wins the 2008 polls. I'm compelled to do this before any other time because of the fact that a friend of mine who has his photo ID but did not have his name on the list (because even though he registered properly he did not take the photo ID before the compilation of the list) nearly got disenfranchised because one polling agent of the NDC was not ready to allow him to vote! this chap clearly does not understand the electoral rules. first he does not want to accept that he's not supposed to prevent anyone from voting...for which i pity him cos after all the system of protest is funny!

pal, before you refuse to think that i'm trying to be objective, note that this pal of mine was actually voting for change...as in he was actually going to vote to benefit the ndc polling agent anyway but of course how is that told on the face!!! but hey by the rules such disclosures at the polling station is not allowed therefore it did not even come up in our protest! We were four paddies who went there in all jamboree...two for Akuffo Addo and two for Atta Mills! a nice blend....

thankfully, we managed to explain to the EC officials and everybody that we had confirmation from the EC that my friend was qualified to vote! can you imagine that voters were the ones teaching the EC officials their own rules??? that is the sad state of our electoral system!

but i also don't think it's all gloomy! so yes we have an ok system but definitely not one i can trust enough!!!

I write what i like...with much respect to Steve Biko of pleasant memory!

I mostly like to challenge leadership...with fundamental principles...and test the space for tolerance...

I write what i like and may insult the action or inaction (mind, not the personalities) of leadership once i deem it appropriate...because the simple logic there is that i do not owe leadership respect...but rather it is leadership that owes a tiny bit like me respect...so leadership has no business insulting me once i do not violate any of our laws...but i may choose...and the word is choose to either respect or not respect leadership...it's plain, simple...and short as that!!!

at the end of the day, i have not stood on any platform seeking votes to lead a nation of diverse people...no! therefore...let no one in leadership DEMAND respect from me...else i would smear that demand in his/her face!

if one day by some fate determined by the forces that be, i find myself in a position of trust...i would change my stance because then i would be an embodiment of leadership with responsibility and so would owe the people ultimate respect! that!!!

what i don't do????
i don't insult anyone's person...for example while i may call an action/inaction of Kufuor foolish, i do not call Kufuor a foolish man...there is a difference! there is definitely a difference between the totality of the man or person from a single or a number of his/her actions....there is a difference...even in relation to time and space...another example, i believe all chiefs are having stupid authority but the persons occupying such positions may or may not have my respect! i choose! there is still a difference!

I also do not tag people without the need for it...for example, if one speaks for the ruling government, i won't jump to the conclusion that the person is npp just because the person spoke for them...same if one speaks for any of the opposition parties, that does not automatically make them ndc or gcpp! unless the fellow in question explicitly tags himself...then of course it makes sense to call them by their tag!

Therefore, let no one tag me! cos i change my mind relative to issues...and you might just be caught on the wrong...no; right side!

but there is this other thing, and that is: where was Dasebre when people like Kufuor (who is supposed to be our president(???)) was decieving Ghanaians that the (one Ghana cedi) newly redenominated cedi was higher in value than the dollar??? where was he and where were all the men like him??? where have they all been when Kufuor and his npp has been using public funds to advertise their party under some guise of a "Ghana Then, Ghana Now" labeled as 'npp government achievement'! why not speak against this illness too???

sure npp will achieve something for Ghana, but why not label it 'government of Ghana achievement' (which is even not needed for waste of money!) instead of 'npp government achievement'! is that not a mark of a divisive strategy however obvious or obscure???

I want to see men and women come out bold to debunk any nonsense by whoever just as Dasebre the man Oti Boateng has done! It is my prayer that sooner than later we would have people responding to all issues devoid of dirty party collours! it is one of the better ways we can move forward as a nation.

just what i've been crying out loud about for so long that it makes my head ache!
pal, there's always a thin line between genuine and fake if it's not obvious. true! look again and you would see! and i don't know what i mean so don't even ask. but don't get put off if you wanna just ask...do!

but see, the last time George Bush sounded like apologetic for his folly-play i posed the question: sober bush??? and then not long after that Kufour sounded cool to my ears in a long while which made me scream out loud 'for once!'

and yet the sound of more 'sudden' goodies are to play into the pockets of workers...cocoa farmers... and one can only wait to see...so is it true that these npp guys mean well??? or are they just trying to be cunny? only to get back to squeezing our balls (and breasts to square!) after we allow ourselves to be 'bought' by their sudden show of good sense! which good sense the majority of Ghanaians (statistics from first round of 2008 elections where clearly majority want change) have been talking about and yet they have always come back at us with nonsensicals like Kufuor's own 'bring the evidence' throw-about!

exactly pal...(exactly what? you must ask!) but I must admit that that is not a joke to take... i can't play God! but why? like i said, it's just a thin line between what is fake and what is genuine especially when it is not obvious! but this one? pal, i won't even waste my time any further! point is, i can't be fooled.

Ghanaians decided that it must be a run-off. no problem...i'm all ready and waiting...for sure Ghanaians have demonstrated beyond all doubt that there ought to be a change! The results of the first round of ballots more than demonstrate this fact.

The wind of change is blowing...

pal, I am looking beyond this elections already...i am! Dr. Abu Sakara Forster--that is the calibre of person i wish to be my kind of leader...call it president or shoe-shine! leadership must be befitted with quality and i dare say this is the kind of person Ghana needs...HE STANDS TALL AMONG ALL THE CANDIDATES FOR THE 2008 ELECTIONS, including all the presidential candidates (even though it's hard to close eyes on Mahama of the NDC!)

i just said kind of person... and that means i do not mean he is the best for Ghana (there are surely others)...that means (according to me) i do not mean i'm too fanatical about him...i'm only pointing out that there is an example of quality we could try (and the word there is even try)!

I've already started telling friends and foe and both that look, if we really want to move forward then we must be looking forward...not 'looking backwards'...no!

So far the man has demonstrated that there is some kind of quality we could aspire to! I never trusted and would hardly (note: not never!) trust Dr. Nduom of the CPP. that i have overly stated. i've even time and time again said that the word trust is one that has little meaning so far as the human is concern. For screaming sake, i can't even trust myself! but Nduom is just not it, even though these days he seeks to be speeking some very very very (that's times 3) good sense which i deeply share. And Nduom is the one who made me come to know this guy (credit to him)! but i am a very serious self even though i believe stupidity is a spice of life but for the sake of good sense! (and i don't know what that means!).

But pal, well..., I need not belabour the point here! you just need to hear that man called Abu Sakara speak... and if you can't identify with him say at least 70% of the time (don't ask me how i measured that--i used senses-meter!....meter of the senses!) of the time then i must be speaking rubbish! THIS IS A MAN WHO CLEARLY DRAWS PEOPLE TOGETHER!!

well, let me leave it here for now, the whole point is that, we find ourselves in a fix, with labels flying more than good sense! i hate this shit! but that is our fate at this juncture! to choose between ndc or npp? but wait a minute? in as much as some may want to be bogged down with the labels i am too adamant to follow! i refuse to be drawn into any nonsensical partisan politics! for me it's a clear case!
